My friend told me about yesterday, so I set aside time in the morning to watch it

I liked it, it's a nice story. Only thing that somewhat bugs me is the how the movie looks compared to other anime

In some ways it's a japanese version of 500 days of summer

My friend talked me into watching 5 Centimeters Per Second a few years ago. It's... alright. Very overhyped and I've had no desire to watch it since, but there are worse ways to k--- two hours

I agree that it's somewhat overhyped

Kyoto has certainly done better, but nonetheless it's a touching/nice story

Thanks, though I'm not fond of Gantz, it always felt exploitative for the sake of being exploitative without making a general commentary or anything. The mc is wholly unlikable and the character interactions are inept and straight up r-----ed at times. That whole scene where the mc bangs lara croft was when I stopped taking the series seriously.

I'm not either tbh. It had an unique idea (as far as I know) but it didn't really go anywhere with it

without a doubt. Probably the most unlikable protagonist I've ever seen. His best friend was by far the better character; at least he wasn't a piece of s---

It's been a while since I've read it, but I had to really push at some points to get through (like when the main alien race was shown to be giants)

The art style too is so flat, lifeless, & completely devoid of emotion. Like the way characters look and their expressions, they all look like robots, it's uncanny. Uncanny Valley the manga pretty much, but like it doesn't even feel like it's on purpose. As in, the author isn't trying to make these depressing unlikable faces & sterile backgrounds, he just sucks at it. BAA & b------ use the same type of computer based art yet look gorgeous.

Also Mlaatr is dope dude. An underrated classic, XJ9 is best girl. It also had a dopeass theme
