    Never understood the universal hate for dubs tbh, it mostly just varies on a show by show basis. Obviously dubs of shows like K-On or Lucky Star are cancer, but the English versions of Haruhi or Black Lagoon are as good if not better

    it's because the language is so drastically different it completely changes the anime. japanese culture literally doesnt translate to english language and ive yet to see a dub without r-----ed amounts of localization

    when i watch anime i want to watch the original one like the director intended it to be watched, not some edited version

    plus seeing anime girls talk in english is just wrong on so many levels

    I'm not denying that dubs are inferior almost every time, I've just never really understood the intollerance and generally try to watch both for comparisons sake

    its just because it isn't worth the risk or time, why swap out amazing voice actors for something that's acceptable at best?

    i hate how inconsistent musaigen no phantom world is, it has some of the most boring episodes i've ever seen, but then it suddenly drops a gem like this week

    it actually had me getting emotional even though i can't stand mc-kun

    im kind of glad i didnt drop it but still it could've been so much better with slight adjustments

    i swear cowboy bebop proves how anything can be good if u put enough effort into art direction and aesthetics

    literally everything else with the anime is so inconsistent
