Sep 18, 2015 I really really don't get this thug hype some of the music i've listened to is a hard task to get through, if someone could tell me his BEST song or his top 3 best songs I'd be willing to check it out.
Sep 18, 2015 He didn't even know about Take Kare before this mixtape, though I do agree Thug and Wayne had 0 chemistry on it. But really, the fact that he didn't even know that track existed until now and couldn't understand why it was on the project speaks volumes at how little he really understands and pays attention. Like I've said, people who don't get it love Travis Scott.
Sep 18, 2015 "nah bruh but that's just his opinion!!" "nah that's kinda just being wrong about a fact" "But but why would he do so much research on s--- he clearly doesn't like??" "To be f---ing informed when he attempts to review it? The f---?"
Sep 18, 2015 Travi$ has better production than Thug, which is why I like Travi$ more than Thug (can't say I love Trav tho). My main gripe with Thug is his choice of production, as I've said multiple times he has loads of potential, he just needs the right producers for an entire project. He's got great singles/features, but he isn't able to put it together for an entire project with me so far. inb4 yall say Tha Tour Pt.1 which I still haven't listened to yet (and it isn't even a solo Thug album anyways).
Sep 18, 2015 Inb4 we say the album we think is one of the best of the last decade Pardon me man I know you're super busy
Sep 18, 2015 The song of the day thread is a great way to get a mix of songs that are leaked (so you won't find them easy) tracks on real projects features and everything That thread just hit day 100 and there hasn't been a bad track yet. Spanning his career for the past like 5 years (he's been rapping since he was like 16)
Sep 18, 2015 Also, I tagged you b/c of MICs comments on Fantanos HORRIBLE insight on this scene as a whole.
Sep 18, 2015 I'll be the first to tell you I'm not super familiar with trap music (due to a dislike of what I've heard and also if it wasn't obvious enough) so I try to rarely talk it and don't review it. My biggest gripe for almost all genres is production, I'm picky with what I like.
Sep 18, 2015 Depends on what you're talking about. If we're still talking about thug I'd probably just f---ing call it hip hop. You're literally labeling an entire geographic scene as "trap music."
Sep 18, 2015 Obviously it's hip-hop, but I just think it's disrespectful to hip-hop to throw it all in one genre when there's so much different types of it out there.
Sep 18, 2015 Rapping with melodies is a lot more like the "original" hip hop and much different from what your definition of "hip hop" likely is
Sep 18, 2015 "Disrespectful to hip hop." No, that's what it is. Even subgenres are still part of the umberella they're under. What you're doing is way more "disrespectful" lmao
Sep 18, 2015 But they like use drums at like a very fast tempo during parts of the beat!! Trap music!!
