Any Buddhists on this forum? I've been looking into Buddhism for awhile. What made yall Buddhists? What effect has it had in your life? Are you a strict or casual Buddhist?

I'm casual Buddhist. Became one when mum became one a few years ago.

Mum is semi-strict. She strives to help the less fortunate whenever she can and reminds me to pray every now and then.

I've been casually studying it for a couple years now. I really got a chance to enhance my knowledge of it when I went to Thailand.

It's easily one of my favorite religions.

Went to Sri Lanka 2 months ago (70% buddhists) and buddhist people are so d--- helpful and respectful. I can say my stay in Sri Lanka really changed the way I think.
But buddhsim isn't really a religion. It's a way of life
