Are You Close To Your Family?

    How close are you with your family members? Mother, father, brothers and sisters. Do you talk to them often and how is your relationship with them?

    I'm close with my full-blooded family. Mum is an inspiration to me, and I don't know what I'd do without her. My oldest brother is like my role-model, because we bond through our love of sports and he was the one that got me into hip-hop. My middle brother, well we're close but not as close as what I'd like us to be.

    Close with my 3 siblings, haven't seen or spoke with my mom in over 3 months. me and my dad are cool but we aren't super close, a lot of that goes to just a father/son relationship stereotype though. we get along for the most part but we are so alike we go at it as well

    Speak with my mom and sister almost every day. Speak to my brother like once a month lol. Speak to my dad at least once a week

    Love my mom, She a single parent. Last time i spoke to my dad I was 8 now I'm 21 lol

    Other than my siblings, nope. My true friends which are the closest people to me = family though.

    Unfortunately not. My mom is a huge help to me with babysitting my kids, etc, so I talk to her often. Other than that everyone else in my family lives at least an hour away from me. I only see my dad, brother, and sister on holidays, so like five times a year. My grandparents, cousins, etc live two hours away so I see them even less. I go years without seeing them at times.

    Not gonna lie, I envy friends of mine whose families all live in the same town as them. Would've been pretty cool to actually go to high school with my cousins, and have Thanksgiving dinner with my grandparents without having to drive four hours.

    I am only close to my dad in a sense of trust. The rest of my family is crazy and by crazy i mean my 9 year old brother has had many times where he was offered to be sent to a mental hospital for a while because he has anger issues to the point where he threatenens me and others and my mom is a sociopath and a liar who has made multiple bomb threats to companys when our bills are late and they call to let her know or when McDonald's gets our order wrong but i am not like that (at least not as bad) also my stepfather is a drunk a------ and then my mom who as i said repeatedly cheated before and planned on never telling me and continuing to blame it on my father that he was the reason they divorced she smokes very much pot to the point where we have been out of money/broke and unable to have hot water or gas in the car or loosing the house.My father was in boxing classes for years till i was born and stopped doing it cause of me i wish now that he hadnt given his current state in life. In conclusion i am distant from my family...

    Not particularly. Something must have happened I'm just not sure what. I've never felt comfortable being open with them or anything and the thought of the relationships being much more than almost associates freaks me out. Affection and sharing my emotions with them or anything is completely off limits and makes me incredibly uncomfortable. I don't think I've ever said 'I love you' to any of them either and I don't think I'd be able to physically get the words out. I am also more of an actions speak louder than words guy though not that I'm justifying anything. I'm not necessarily proud of how I am but I don't understand why I'm that way.

    The hypocrisy is though I get jealous of close families and all that. My mum doesn't talk to any of her siblings anymore and most are interstate so I never get to do any of that s--- and all of dad's are interstate. I hate Christmas kind of because it's just myself, mum, dad and my sister - like basically any generic lunch/dinner - although my parents are split still it's f---in boring to me when I know so many others are having massive fun family events with no bs.
