If you are in a committed relationship with the person and know that you want to spend the rest of your life with them would you move in before marriage?

We would have the time of our lives!!

How sucky is it. You are back under their house with THEIR rules. And I dont know about you and your parents but personally, I think I run a smoother household but nooo. Things have to be done their way. ugh

I'm only 18 so I still can manage to squeeze a few years out of my parents if I wanted to but honestly I want to get far away as soon as possible. As soon as I can save enough I want to move to Atlanta and start going to college up there. Glad I took my first semester off from school to work and save money because that's gonna help a lot

After my mom found my weed he got in my face and said I was a f---in loser that would never amount to anything. So I called him out on him f---ing my mom while my parents were still married (which was true) and that made him snap and attack me. My mom called the cops and I wound up getting charged with "harassment" and getting a fine because he had busted lips and I had no injuries.

Me and my mom are very good now. She's the best grandmother I could ask for for my kids, infact she's more of a mother to them then their biological mother is. Me and my step-dad get along now too surprisingly.

She did apologize to me for it years later when I was like 25. She changed her ways big time after I moved out. She allowed my little brother and sister to have keg parties on her property whereas I wasn't even allowed to listen to rap.

Left home at 16. Was able to finish high school and had an apartment with my girlfriend by 17. It wasn't exactly easy street, but I knew and wanted to prove I could do it. That said, I will never allow my children to do the same.

Personally, I still would not. It makes more sense considering it'd be tempting to sleep with each other when you live together. I'm a bit old fashioned

Sounds like you've had quite the experience! Mad jelly.

Yeah you hit the nail on the head, I feel a sudden 'thrill' to get far away from the norm, and I want that feeling to continue, the thought of going back now has me feeling nauseous. And h--- nah, I'm a northern kunt, I regularly visit liverpool and manchester as I have friends in both cities, but my pops lives in London so I just came down to visit. Tinder down here got me like :sweatt:, too many MarkerPen eyebrow broads up in the north, the difference 200+ miles makes is another world.

I don't really have that safety net to be honest - with parents anyway, but I do with a couple of friends, I just make my own way through life and if I fall I fall. But h---, the experience sounds too good to pass off, I'll try my best to go heavy travelling in 3 years or something. I still look 18 anyway. I just wanted to save up quite a bit and have a stable career to stand on first. But then before I know it it'll be too late :to:, it's a tough situation....but you definitely got blessed with good luck, and you conveniently have that 'no f---s given' attitude which always helps. Vancouver, canada with a couple of friends next year is a maybe for now anyway, but who knows.

Do you think you will always travel for life now? Or will you and your other half one day settle down somewhere, and if so where and when? 10 years.... I ain't no stalker :noah2:, I'm just always curious about things and like to get a different perspective. All my friends are having babies and getting married now, but I don't feel anywhere near that chapter in life, and I wouldn't mind living the life you lead, soon.

When I was 16, I started living on my own. I went to another city to learn there. I was renting some flat with the help of my parents (financial help of course).

Got emancipated when I was 16 almost 17 I think. Because me and my dad bumped heads way too much and too hard. I lived on my own for almost a year in some decent apartment until my mom and dad finally split and mom asked me to move back home. I agree with what was previously said if life is good at home no need to rush into something you can't handle or aren't ready for.

Live with my Dad, I could move out after this school year, or even now, but I think I'll stay after I graduate because of the situation at home. I want to be there to help since I have 3 younger siblings, 2 being in school and 1 only going to be two in February.

I'm 18, still live with my mom. I'll likely live here for a while more, no rush though. I want to get through college as debt free as possible so if that means I can live at home while doing, so be it.
