Oct 23, 2015 Well im a bit salty about losing craig bird to the bombers but he wasn't really getting a game with us so its fair enough, atleast he's guaranteed a game in their weak midfield and will be a 20-25 touch per game player, on the upside im f---ing rapt to get talia from the bulldogs who will hold our backline together for the next 10 years with the impending retirement of richards and grundy in the next 2 years. Not to mention callum sinclair from the eagles who should be our first choice ruckman next year unless nankervis has a super human pre-season
Oct 26, 2015 Do you guys think Fyfe's taken the crown? Or do you think a fully fit and healthy Ablett next season can reclaim it? You think Ablett's capable of maintaining his previous standards?
Oct 26, 2015 Ablett is capable of one more brilliant season. The crown stays with Ablett until he shows us he's not up to those lofty standards anymore.
Nov 19, 2015 Throughout the off-season just for a bit of fun and discussion I might add a few scenarios and see what you would do in the scenario. The first one: in hindsight would you have still done the Judd deal if you were Carlton or would you have kept Kennedy? Tbh this might be controversial but I think I would have kept Kennedy, Carlton have lacked good goalkicking power for a while and I think with Kennedy performing anywhere near how he has for WC with a decent midfield, which they probably would have had with or without Judd I think Carlton would have done better.
Nov 19, 2015 I still would've done the deal. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but Judd did deliver them a few finals series and a Brownlow Medal. And at the time Carlton were a basketcase with an abundance of talent so they needed leadership and Judd at the time was the best in the competition. Knowning what we know now I still believe Carlton would've done the deal 10/10 times. @Jakey your thoughts?
Nov 19, 2015 Yeah true. They really had no one but him to be captain. There was no clear leader in the group. I'm looking purely in hindsight as well, knowing what we know now. They would have to have had a transitional captain of some sorts.
Nov 19, 2015 If they didn't do the trade I wouldn't be surprised if Simpson or Carrazzo were made captain at the time.
Nov 19, 2015 I'd go Carrazzo. I've never been big on Simpson and certainly wouldn't buy him as a captain. That's just me though.
Nov 19, 2015 Collingwood (my team) Nah Hawthorn have won 3 premierships in a row and 12 in about 50 years. Premierships are likenour super bowls Overall premierships though the top teams are Essendon - 16 Carlton - 16 Collingwood 15
Nov 19, 2015 If we exclude VFL premierships and start from when the AFL started in 1990, then Hawthorn lead the count with 5 followed by Brisbane/Geelong with 3.
Nov 19, 2015 It's an interesting one. I probably would have done the Judd deal. He did take them into a few finals and won a Brownlow (something I'd really love a Port player to do), and looking at how well some of Carlton's former forwards are doing now, would Kennedy be the star he is today at Carlton?
Nov 19, 2015 @Bleed if you want to watch an entertaining team watch Port Adelaide (my team) or the Bulldogs, they play a fast attacking play built from their defense, really fun to watch! Well... fun to watch when Port do it well..
Nov 19, 2015 Thanks for the recommendation, what days do these teams usually play?.. how far are we into the season?..has it just started or?
