Even worse than bandwagon fans are those fans who have like 3 or 4 teams in one sport lol, that's just ridiculous.

You should support your team, whatever happens. No matter which sport. Last sunday I was in Amsterdam at an Ajax game. 6 minutes before the end Utrecht scores 0-2. Soo many people left smh.

But karma's a b----, in the remaining 6 minutes Ajax scored 2 times which meant they reclaimed the nr 1 spot in the league. Good for them lol

I supported Port Adelaide through the hard times (and been called a bandwagoner later on during our good years), I will support Chelsea through their hard times and I have been supporting the Sixers through their hard times....

Switching teams is bad, but not showing up because your team is s--- is kind of acceptable. If the players aren't showing any passion, why should the fans.
^In saying that, I still show support to the teams I love whenever I can, I just don't have a problem with those who don't.

It depends, if you switched from Port to Crows that is absolutely unacceptable, however switching from Crows to Port it's just logical. :laff:

For real, I guess it's acceptable in some cases like if you were young or had a family member/friend associated with that team. TBH when I was a young NBA fan I liked a dozen teams because of the players that played for them, before I settled for one. I suppose when you're young you're still new and trying to identify yourself. :')

I switched from Port to Crows at the age of 10. Only went for Port coz my best friends were Port and Matty Primus fans. Once they moved schools and I was in Year 4 my teacher converted me into a Crow. Funny thing is that was during the year where Port won the Premiership. :laff:

No ragrets. Sport wasn't my main interest until I was 12. The Crows were flying at that point, and were one game away from the Grand Final.

    But noooooooooooooooooooooooooo

West Coast had to storm home with their coked up players and so on. That loss still stings to this day.

I don't look at it as "Bandwagon Patriot fans"

I look at it like, football fans making the right choice.

When you pick your team in Madden every year through the dark times and then everyone gives you s--- when you want to pick them once they become great.

2011-2014 got so much s--- for picking 49ers online.

I'm interested in your opinion on my fandom, @TimmyT

I grew up primarily rooting for University of Michigan (Charles Woodson ftw!) & Virginia Tech (Mike Vick) football and never really had any allegiance to any professional team from Chicago. I root for the Bears, but I would honestly say I'm more of a pink hatted Bears fan than anything else.
I rooted for the Raiders when Charles went there and was THE BIGGEST Falcons fan when Mike went there. And when they switched teams, I switched who I rooted for. So people often call me a bandwagon fan.
(Like last year for example, my favorite team was the Bills because Tyrod Taylor was my BOY at Tech, watched him grow)

The thing with me though, I have more knowledge than 95% of the people I have conversations with so they soon realize I'm far from a bandwagon fan. Just like to follow my dudes from Michigan and Tech. I'm the biggest Michigan fan to th

I'm also a really weird fan with basketball, but we'll get into that another day lol.
I'm just a weird sports fan, i guess.

    Go Blue, Go Hokies

    Thoughts?

Reminds me of my friend Harold. Can't really hate on it, because he roots for players rather than teams. I always thought you were a Bears fan though.

I'm a WAY bigger fan of the Bears now than I was back in the day (I actually rooted against them in the Super Bowl because I HATED Grossman, but when they got Cutler, who I love, I started "rooting" for them), but I'm not going to lose sleep over any Bears loss/victory.

I'd root against the Pats if we had Grossman. f---ing hated him too. I rooted for the Colts in that Super Bowl too, and we took that harsh L against them. One of the worst Pats losses ever. But, f--- Grossman.

Only time I can think of when it's acceptable to switch teams is if your team relocates, or if your city/hometown gets a new franchise.
