Nov 12, 2015 Most of the material he puts out is years old anyways...how long he takes to make an album wouldn't really matter. He'd just have more songs and a larger variety to choose from He'd probably still keep his recording process he same. I'm sure his vault is huge
Nov 12, 2015 I don't enjoy his music and get little to no reaction out of it. Let me f---ing teleport into my subconcious and figure out why I have those feelings listening to most of Young Thug's music. f--- off, you don't deserve an explanation.
Nov 12, 2015 I think u were a critique, lmao. How is disproving why x song is bad, so f---ing hard for you and whys it make u so emotional smh
Nov 12, 2015 When Kanye lets Travis start doing his own thing, I would like to see an album with him and Thug or at least a album produced by Kanye with thug rapping. Interested in how it would sound.
Nov 12, 2015 didnt mention cherry bomb in that list and you've read my review on it where i basically s--- on most of it
Nov 12, 2015 Just re-listened to the album and wrote down some notes for each track: “Constantly Hating” - Extremely minimalistic beat that can’t hold up past two minutes but yet clocks in at over 4. Starts off kinda cool I guess but I don’t really care for Thug’s ADHD flow when it’s over mediocre production. “With That” - I like it because it’s very Migos-esque thanks to that triplet flow. I guess you can say I prefer Thug when he goes for something more traditional. “Can’t Tell” - T.I.’s verse blows Thug and Boosie out of the water as T.I.’s flow is smooth as h--- and his charisma is undeniable. Thug’s hook + the intro aren’t actually bad but his verse leaves me the question of, why should I care? Oh and Boosie sucks on this song. “Check” - One of the songs on the album I like, but I lost my attention at certain parts of the song, mostly the second verse. I think his flows throughout the album so far are unique, but unfocused. I like focus but Thug lacks it throughout most of his songs. “Never Had It” - It’s alright. I think I’m liking the album a bit more than my first listens, but again, I don’t find much particularly interesting compared to other music. He seems to have all these odd flows and melodies but the production is boring and overall it just feels like he’s making the same song over and over again. Oh, and Young Dolph’s verse is trash with his awkward a--- flow. I’ll give Thug props for at least staying on the beat most of the time. “Dream” - I don’t understand what he’s saying or what emotions he’s trying to evoke. Whenever I do understand him it’s essentially nonsense. Oh and Yak Gotti brings a trash verse. “Dome” - I don’t have much to say other than meh. Thug’s voice is starting to annoy the h--- out of me. Duke’s alright at keeping up with Thug unlike most of the other features. “Halftime” - One of the better beats but this is both exhausting and boring. Before you tell me, oh but Thug goes in on this song, no. It’s a generic “going in” verse and he has nothing interesting to say. He says nothing interestingly but it still bores me. Why? I don’t f---ing know why but I’m bored. “Amazing” - Again, he’s saying nothing but in an interesting way. Yes, he does show some emotion in this song, but I simply do not care. “Knocked Off” - Stop giving Birdman verses, for the love of God stop. I’m just gonna be repeating myself with that “saying nothing interestingly but still saying nothing.” I don’t feel any emotion listening to this. “OD” - Call me a high-functioning sociopath but I don’t get anything out of this. The emotion is there in the lyrics and in his vocals, but I do not care. He lacks focus. It just seems like Thug heard “Codeine Crazy” or “56 Nights” and wanted to re-create that feel but it just doesn’t work for me. “Numbers” - So this is the part of the album where he decides to become introspective all of a sudden. Because he’s mumbling everything he’s saying and throwing in out of place ad-libs, I don’t care. Also, London’s drums are garbage. “Just Might Be” - The beat and some of his vocals scream inspirational, but the lyrics are just generic as h--- and don’t really come off as inspirational. Anytime it gets close to that he throws in some s-----y line that breaks whatever feelings I was about to have. I get that this “review” is mostly just repeating certain points, but I tried man. There’s only so many ways you can articulate boredom. Not as bad as it was on first listens but still nothing particularly interesting overall.
