Aug 29, 2015 We could go back and forth all day, but this argument has gotten repetitive and stupid. Hopefully one day they get on a song together and we'll see
Aug 29, 2015 Even if they did & even IF Eminem had the better verse, that wouldn't make him the better artist. Eminem has struggled to make good music since 2004. Mac Miller has had his slip ups (Blue Side Park) but for the most part has delivered. I understand you're a Stan & you some how think Relapse is better than anything Mac Miller has done in his career but I honestly encourage you to try to branch out.
Aug 29, 2015 Like, if you would rather listen to relapse, recovery, or mmlp2 over WMWTSO or Faces, stay away from me
Aug 29, 2015 Colors and Shapes is so beautiful Mac Miller is my favorite rapper since discovering section80 and Kendrick in 2011
Aug 29, 2015 why does it have to be so black & white, why not listen to and enjoy both? you guys are r-----ed
Aug 29, 2015 macs never put out anything as bad as *insert 65 eminem guest verses from 2010 onwards* /thread
Aug 29, 2015 Right? & he expects me to believe that he's listened to Mac's entire discography. Smh...
Aug 29, 2015 You right, I must listen to Freddie Gibbs to love hip hop Narsh you are God. If we all don't have you're taste in music were simply wrong! That's why everyone here loves you so much!!
Aug 29, 2015 Okay maybe I'm takin the thread the wrong way.. From my understanding thread asked who is a better rapper. Which eminem is. Artist? I'll agree eminem has lost just about all artistry to his music.. But like as a rapper eminem is still more skilled. That's what I've been arguing this whole time, nothing to do with who makes better music. Just who could outrap who
Aug 29, 2015 Well Em's first album was meh, Mac's first proper mixtape (KIDS) was great. Em's next 3 albums were classics, Mac's next 3 were mediocre. Em's 5th project was mediocre, Mac's 5th project (Macadelic) was brilliant. Em's 6th, 7th & 8th were all good, but disappointing to some. Mac's 6th & 7th were outstanding. Now he's gonna continue with that on GO:OD AM. As you can see, their whole careers are opposite. Em got worse, Mac got better. If we're talking right now, yeah Eminem is a better lyricist but Mac is a better artist.
Aug 29, 2015 ...It's the same thing. Better rapper, better artist. If rapping was a sport yeah Eminem would be a among the best today but it's not. Rapping is about making music & Mac Miller has made better music than Eminem in the past 5 years. Relapse, Recovery & MMLP2 were all good? Lyricist refers to a song writer, I disagree that Eminem is a better song writer than Mac Miller in 2015.
Aug 29, 2015 When we first started this debate I named every single Mac Miller project outside of Blue Side Park & you said you listened to all those projects because of your friend or whatever. Then later you claimed Mac's delivery changed around Blue Side Park which I'm assuming that means you've listened to it. You've insinuated that you've listened to Mac's entire discography.
Aug 29, 2015 I said just about everything. You have comprehension issues I swear lol. And no being the better rapper and better artist isn't at all the same thing, that's crazy to say. 99 canibus would rap circles around just about any popular artist in the 2000s - does that make him a better artist than most of those rappers? No
Aug 29, 2015 A rapper is an artist, right? It's the same thing. Canibus wasn't out of this world great in the 90's/early 2000's. He was a good rapper who had promise but he fell flat & flopped. Just because an individual has good technical rapping ability & uses big words doesn't make them a better rapper than someone who doesn't, let's say Kanye.
Aug 29, 2015 So just because someone has more technical skill they're not better at an art form based on using technical skill?? Gotcha. Put Kanye and canibus into a battle type scenario (where the competition is designed to determine who's better) and we'll see who wins. It happened to cool j, Kanye isn't as good a rapper. He makes better music. There is a distinctive difference it really isn't hard to tell that
