    Yeah literally everyone except my brother hates rap in my family ffs. Also only a few of my friends like it as well lmao. Some others are casual listeners though.

    I really think european people are still sleeping on hip-hop, but times are changing so fast. Genres are blending so much you can barely tell if it's rap, pop, rock etc.

    My dad is soooooo anti-rap it's unreal man

    They still see it as gangsters and killers also because (here) a lot of dutch rappers are losers acting like gangsters. The image it has are criminals and troublemakers.

    And I agree dutch rap sux but especially american rap is a lot more than that w actual storytelling, emotions and stories of (for example) struggle of (black) people.

    But people wont look past the popular mostly s-----y people that romanticize crime and disrespect authority. Especially in a country were we actually still do respect authority (to an extent) and judge criminal behaviour. So yeah kinda proud and dissappointed at the same time lol

    This is a problem everywhere tbh. A lot of 40+ yo people think rap is bad, just like you've said. Rappers like to act like something they are not.

    Maybe when rap will get more mainstream, people will start looking at it different. Young people are pushing the numbers behind the hits.

    Time will tell tho

    This is true but I dont see much of that kinda rap hit the charts.

    Its mostly just bragging type of stuff which I can appreciate sometimes but understand people, not liking rap in the first place, won't..

    But honestly dont care if others like it, fine w enjoying it w a few people irl and lots of strangers on S80!

    Where shall I drink tonight? Flight back to London at 1130 tomorrow so can't be feeling too rough!

    And more importantly, what shall I do now?? Krakow doesn't seem to cater very well to the solo traveler apart from a million different bars and restaurants. Don't want to be touching booze for at least another 4 hours.
