Jan 19, 2016 I'm all in for Bernie. He has a very solid track record and he thoroughly backs up all of his plans. People just need to take the time to really look into the things he is proposing. If he doesn't get the nomination I'd still vote Hillary over anyone in the GOP
Jan 19, 2016 idk about bernie, talking about revolution and s---, I agree a lot of s--- need to be change, but we should not start over. But If Bernie get the nom, I'm voting for him.
Jan 19, 2016 One of the main reasons Democrats are leaning Hillary is because Bernie is not strict enough on guns. He does constantly point out that the NRA gave him a D- grading though. Trump vs Sanders is my ideal race. Both have very many similarities. The reason I will most likely stay with Sanders is that he has actual ideas and meaning behind his words. Trump seems rather clueless and believes he can "manage" the nation by hiring the right experts in each area. It's nothing new, but there is no substance behind Trump. Perhaps that changes once we get to the next level. Also, I welcome any candidate that will move on from boring discussions like abortion, gay marriage, and the death penalty. The topics are beaten to death and it's time to move on. Abortion is legal, gay marriage is legal, and the death penalty is legal. Get over it.
Jan 19, 2016 Bernie is not looking to start over. He helped write Obamacare and will build off of it to get us to a single payer system. Other than that, his goal is to get corporations to pay their far share, providing more revenue to help build our failing roads and bridges. Lower the interest rate on student loans as my generation is flooded with debt for worthless degrees (not me haha). Just to name a few... Fact is if you listen to Bernie speak, it is tough to argue with anything he is saying. He has amazing ideas that make sense. He is the only candidate that I listen to and agree 100%. Several others have great ideas but nobody is close to having the combination of integrity, intelligence and experience as Bernie Sanders.
Jan 19, 2016 It's not just the issue with his track record on guns but also Hillary's just a more familiar/well-known figure. Middle-age Americans identify with Hillary and respect her. Also, I think Hillary's policies are a lot more sensible. Bernie is a great speaker and preaches a lot of great progressive ideas which plays off well with the youth (18-25) but older democrats I think realize his propositions aren't realistic. At least not yet. This really isn't true btw. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...hecking-bernie-sanders-claim-he-helped-write/
Jan 19, 2016 See, I understand if someone just doesn't like his policies. People are different, no big deal. But to say his proposals aren't realistic just goes to show how far gone our government really is. Instead of thinking about the government as some third party organization that does what it wants regardless of what people think, we need to get back to remembering that its sole purpose is to represent the majority of its people. The majority of Dems support single payer healthcare, the majority of Dems support a $15 min wage, etc. If the government is doing things that goes against the majorities best-interes, then people need to get involved and elect a government that ACTUALLY represents them. The voter turnout for the last congressional seat election was a f---ing joke. And we wonder why Republicans control it. Take the d--- government back, and quit saying that popular and well supported ideas aren't realistic. Make it realistic. EDIT: That new New Hampshire CNN poll though. Got DAYUM.
Jan 19, 2016 Hey, I hear you and I totally agree but again.... I don't control all the young people and minority voters who simply skip out on mid term elections. I would love for the voter turn out to improve next mid term and have Dems win back both the house and the senate but I just can't see that happening. The last thing I want is a Bernie presidency stuck with a republican controlled congress for 4 years. I can't see him getting anything done if that happens and if he doesn't, that'll hurt Dems a lot in the next presidential election.
Jan 20, 2016 Trump is popular, despite what many in the media say. He's a populist, meaning he appeals to the majority.
Jan 20, 2016 If the majority opinion is that all Muslims are terrorists and bad people, we're f-----.
Jan 20, 2016 Well we shouldn't be skeptical of Islam when most of the terrorism happening in this country is by Americans. Trump plays on people's anger and fears like a fiddle.
Jan 20, 2016 Although I disagree with a few of his ideas, I like Bernie far more than the other candidates
Jan 20, 2016 And trump is better than Clinton but this is almost like picking out the shiniest pile of s---
Feb 4, 2016 This. Just take a look over at what happened in Cologne, Germany on New Years Eve. Women were literally being sexually assaulted by entire groups of (identified Muslim) refugees, and they're so desperate to coddle Muslims over there that these victims of the assaults were labeled as "Islamophobic racists" for simply identifying their attackers. From what I've heard, the government over there has not only completely refused to do much of ANYTHING about what happened, but they've been exposed for going out of their way to cover it up. Then they wonder why gangs of citizens have taken to the streets to beat the s--- out of these people. You can't bring in hundreds of thousands of people from a backwards anus of a country like Syria, and expect them to just adapt to Western civilization without issue. Clearly this is not working, yet anyone who dares criticize what's happening seems to be automatically labeled as just a simple "Islamophobic bigot".
