d---, it's pretty cool that you can make a living out of that. Where do you get jobs from? Different websites and stuff, writing reviews?

True, there's so much stuff available out there these days, it's hard to pick what to listen to.

As you said, Netflix. There are so many d--- series now that I find myself spending more time debating what to watch than actually watching something lol.

I'm not complaining because there's never been more choice but it seems like it has shortened my attention span and I find it hard to pick a movie or series and commit to it.

Yes I have listened to Earthgang - Mirrorland. Not sure if it was you or someone else who suggested it but I discovered them from this thread.

    https://forum.sectioneighty.com/loo...ist-recommendations-no-mumble-rappers.t235944

I didn't love the entire album but there were a solid 3-4 songs that I really, really liked and added to my library. Will definitely continue to check them out in the future.

The best discovery I had with that thread was Freddie Gibbs. I had seen him before on some features but had never listened to his stuff or any of his albums for that matter.

I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to adding albums to my library so if I don't like at least 1/3 of the album i'll pick out songs individually and delete the rest. But there was just so much s--- I loved from Freddie Gibbs albums/mixtapes. I kept 4 of his albums. 2 of them being mixtapes. And there's still some I haven't heard yet.

Btw, out of curiosity. What type of work do you do as a freelancer?

As far as albums are concerned, I wasn’t too satisfied with that many releases.

Ventura was very good, might get my AOTY
WWCD is tied with Ventura atm for me
TM104 was faithful to the Thug Motivation style
    Hollywood’s Bleeding was also good
E-40’s Practice Makes Paper was good but I’m from the Bay and grew up with that hyphy s--- so I’m biased
The Lost Boy and Born 2 Rap are very similar. There’s great material but half of it is not for me
That Dreamville album was a major disappointment as a whole project, the music is the exact opposite problem of Born 2 Rap
Port Of Miami 2 also disappointed

Can I consider the Carter V OG leak as an album from this year? That s--- still gets plays @Big Cuntry
