There's a clear separation in quality between Encore & Nastradamus though. Not nearly as bad, I could see people saying it was awful back then tho due to Nas's previous work.

I mean, it happens a lot... I see people saying Encore is better now lol.

I've always been a HUGE Nas fan... But between Nastradamus and Bravehearts? I was f---ing done with dude, and loved when Jay Z dissed him.

Jay Z and Nas, between 1999 and 2003 was amazing... Maybe that's a good 5 year span too for those artists. I just loved the competition between them, and the little shots they took at each other.

No lol just no.... Nas's rapping alone makes Nastradamus a much better album than Encore. I always thought Nastradamus was forgettable but nothing on it is a--- Like That or Big Weenie bad lol com'on now...

I'm not comparing the albums lol. I'm just saying the impact was very similar. Both are albums I'll never revisit.

    Eminem 1999-2003

And his work on Cheers, Tupac, 50 , Green Lantern, and Straight from the lab is better than his work in 98.

    Michael Jackson 78-82 & 83-87 & 88-92 (He had a d--- 15 year run)
And i cant even decide where he was at his peak.

From commercial side def. the Thriller and pre stuff era.
But as an artist and as a brand ? I'd say Bad - Dangerous

I'm not disagreeing. I just think there are people out there that don't rate Eminem that highly, or like him at all. Just find it pretty dumb that the thread is called "best five year runs" and instead of posting great rappers and their great 5 year runs in hip-hop, you have a bunch of people on the first few pages just s----posting "where is Eminem?" and completely ignoring the other amazing artists in the OP.

I think @WPG is a pretentious c---- at times, but that doesn't warrant people saying "hey put an artist you don't like (eminem) in your list! because I said so!" If you really want to make a case for Eminem having a good 5 year run, then do it.

And honestly, Eminem is a great artist but a good 5 year run from him? Doesn't really work...
    SSLP - 1999
    MMLP - 2000
    TES - 2002
3 great albums, over a four year span. No lie there. But this is 5 year runs, and a year before SSLP is infinite. A year after TES is Encore. So the fifth year is pretty much a toss up between Infinte work or Encore work - Due to Eminem's inconsistency's it's not a flawless 5 year run. So yeah I'd say Eminem has an alright 5 year run but in comparison to some of the other artists mentioned here, his 5 year run will be flawed no matter what way you look at it.

Lol this so incredibly wrong. Devil's Night came out in 2001, and 8 Mile came out in 2003 (arguably his best work) so obviously everybody that said Eminem is using his work from 1999-2003 (SSLP, MMLP, Devil's Night. The Eminem Show, 8 Mile). Also Infinite was released in 1996, but hey good try.

He was in 5/16 songs (only 3 solo) in the ost, how does this count?

edit: mentioning the SSEP would make more sense to me
