best five-year runs

    Well obviously it wasn't just the ost. We had The Sauce, Stimulate, Love You More, We As Americans, Bully, his features on GRODT, I'm sure I'm forgetting more too. We definitely got more and better material from eminem in 2003 than in 1998.

    i disagree and have explained as much in the thread. this wasn't made to slight eminem, honestly. i just don't think he's in the conversation.

    Yeah but what 5 year span would you say is Eminem's best? Think of that, then think of all the garbage that he also released in those times. I can't see a 5 year span in his career where his entire body of work is at least great music.

    the 5 years before Encore could probably make the list, but there's other artists with much better 5 year runs imo. Honestly feel like you could make a stronger case for Kendrick to be in this discussion than Eminem. Just don't get why Eminem is praised so much I guess. I think his SSLP/TES/MMLP are pretty solid - but I also recognize he has made a lot of s--- music.
