Jun 3, 2015 I think a lot of people didn't like it just because TDK was so great people had too high of expectations for TDKR. But still, more people liked it than disliked it for sure
Jun 3, 2015 The original Spider-Man trilogy will always be my favourite trilogy of all time. just too much nostalgia. The Dark Knight Trilogy I would say is the "Best" trilogy out of the movies I watched, however I'm not really a Movie guy
Jun 3, 2015 they're good but at their best no more than 8/10. calling one of these films 10/10 means you haven't seen that many others.
Jun 3, 2015 but he rates based on it's genre/enjoyment. the dark knight may be a perfect action movie, but it's not a perfect movie overall.
Jun 3, 2015 The guy you responded to had "imo" underlined in his post. Pretty obvious he wasn't giving le scientific rating.
Jun 3, 2015 No you weren't. You implied only ignorant movie goers enjoy Nolan's films. Don't back down now.
Jun 3, 2015 What a cop out. You offered your opinion, now I'm giving you the opportunity to support it. Enlighten me as to how enjoying Nolan's films makes somebody a pleb.
Jun 3, 2015 i never said enjoying them means you're ignorant, i said if you believe they are truly perfect movies then you probably don't have a very large frame of reference. I like them, the first one more so than the next two, but (imo) they are far from 10/10 and the internet's opinion of them is incredibly overblown.
Jun 3, 2015 Surprised these two weren't mentioned yet: and These two are definitely up there for me, along with the Before Trilogy, Back to the Future and Original Star Wars. So many though
Jun 3, 2015 The first one is the worst one, lol. You obviously don't know what you're talking about. It falls to the same folly as most superhero films, the derivative origin story. The second has one of the most iconic villains in cinema and the third is an indulgent spectacle. How else are you supposed to judge a film except by its own intentions. They set out and accomplish being gritty alternatives to the cartoonish superhero films of the time. Not to mention the second revitalized noir, a pretty respectable and storied genre. Calling them inferior because they reach a wide audience is closed minded, contrarian nonsense.
Jun 3, 2015 you called me out for judging someone's opinion, then you did the same? anyway, i thing begins is the best because it's actually the closest to a batman film. I've read fucktons of batman, and the movies are pretty poor adaptations of his character. throughout the trilogy, instead of being a master of martial arts, he just punches people really hard. instead of hiding out of sight so that he doesn't get shot, he's armored and walks around in broad daylight. they're inaccurate in every way, and begins is slightly less inaccurate.
Jun 3, 2015 I called you out for not backing your opinion up. The Shining wasn't anything like the book, does that make it a bad movie? If you want that comic book Batman, go watch The Animated Series. Not to mention the various completely different Batman incarnations in comic lore. It's been done. Nolan's Batman is wholly his. Your comic book fan complaints have nothing to do with what you originally said.
Jun 3, 2015 I disagree. TDKR was great. Great villain who tied in with the first movie and had a surprising ending. The Batman/Catwoman duo was great too
