    NY owned the 90's and early 00's but ATL's been running s--- for the last 10+ years. There's a great west-coast resurgence thats been happening recently though.

    South is more than just ATL man, and you're missing key areas like detroit

    Also im from the southeast but I listen to more West coast music so yeah cali killing it the past few years

    EDIT : I'm jaded about how generic Detroit Rappers always been though. Even in The Eastside Cheddar Boy/Street-Lordz days when Blade Icewood was running the local scene. I was always more of the type to gravitate to Em because it felt like we never had anyone else who had ever risen to that level of relevancy and notoriety, until I discovered Esham & N.A.T.A.S. around the ripe age of 15. Then, around 21 was when I truly appreciated The Meccas and Pantheons of Hip-Hop's Derivative Stomping Grounds, under the volition and intuitively-perfected navigation of James Yancey ,T3, and Baatin.).     MGK is becoming more of a POP STAR now with his tracks with all these female pop stars, s--- is insane his growth. I won't lie I f--- with MGK heavy and have since the Lace Up project

    Oh s---. I forgot about Kansas for Tech N9ne. St. Louis doesn't really have anyone now. But when "Nelly & The St. Lunatics" were popular, they basically ran the scene for a second. They were definitely the driving force of wardrobe impetus for a generation (The Early-To-Mid-2000's). Air Force One's. Oversized Basketball-Player Throwback Jerseys. "NIKE" headbands. f---ing VISORS! Eminem was the only dude I remember wearing visors, until I saw Nelly with one. It all depends on what perspective you perceive it from.

    I didn't really say South was jusr ATL i just kinda assumed everyone knew their regions and put ATL because they've been the face of the south. Texas, NOLA, Memphis, and Florida aren't as big as ATL is rn
