Jan 5, 2016 I know everyone is getting pissy about Drake winning 2015, but at the very least if you followed him this year, there are valid reasons why he should have won. There's definitely other artists who probably should have gotten it, but Drake should have at least been in the conversation for best of 2015 if we're looking at everything (sales, popularity, memes, quality, etc.).
Jan 5, 2016 Great list. I agree with all of it except I strongly disagree with 2005 and 2010. Should've been The Game in 05 and Em in 10. All they mention Game did in 2005 was The Documentary. Did they forget the entire beef with G-Unit that year? The endless amount of flawless diss tracks he released that year? The three mixtapes he released including 300 Bars? No way f---ing "Jeezy" had a better year than that. And you already know how I feel about 2010 Em. By far the best year of his career since 2002.
Jan 5, 2016 He brought up a lot of great points but I don't see why he's gotta drag Drake down in the process. If it was based purely on rapping ability, 2015 would have gone to Future, with Thug, K Dot, and Drake/Cole as honorable mentions. When you add sales, popularity, and other things into your criteria, picking Drake is completely understandable.
