Dec 24, 2016 explain the curtis mayfield outro on tuscan leather then? "if we may we'd like to CLOSE OUT with something inspirational"
Dec 24, 2016 ok hold up i i am gonna gather the proof to end this discussion and prove that it was meant to be played backwards
Dec 24, 2016 I think the peak of an album should be closer to the end If anything, Started from the bottom being the third track kinda kills that argument though. I mean, it doesn't make sense to have everything else come before that only to then end with Tuscan leather (which would s--- as an outro) I don't get it.
Dec 24, 2016 1. Tuscan Leather outro speech: "If we may, we'd just like to close out with something inspirational" -> self explanatory 2. Pound Cake outro speech: "I hope you enjoy listening to this album" -> clearly more fitting to have this in the intro than outro 3. "Lately I've been feeling like guy pierce in memento" -> lyrics from tuscan leather. memento is a movie where the plot plays out backwards. you start out with the ending and finish with the start. THIS ONE POINT ALONE PROVES THAT IT WAS MEANT TO BE PLAYED BACKWARDS 4. The furthest thing beat fades into tuscan leather
Dec 24, 2016 "It’s such a journey that it’s over quickly, but you forget where you started so you have to listen again. By the time you get to “305 To My City” you don’t remember how you got there from “Wu Tang Forever.” It’s all connected [1]. The initial idea was to release two versions of the album. The deluxe version was going to flip the whole track list, so it would go “Pound Cake” then “Too Much”—it would go in reverse [2]. It was a cool, different listening experience. We never brought it into fruition; I think it was some iTunes [issue] or something like that." direct quote from drake
