Pretty much how both me and my gf felt about Gravity. It was a beautiful film but part of it just felt empty to me. I really wasn't all that interested in it. I wouldn't mind giving it another watch at some point though

I haven't seen too many really. Don't watch as much films as I used to.

I'll probably get s--- on but I didn't really like Mad Max either. I would not watch it again. Was bland and boring to me. But, that's the beauty of opinions some love it some don't.

I'm with Narsh on Gravity tbh. Amazing theater experience but haven't had the urge to watch it since. Mad Max: Fury Road on the other hand, I'll definitely be watching again when it hits Blu Ray :emoji_thumbsup:

how is saying that both films dont sit well with me due to lack of a substantial plot nonsense?

how is saying the're both very impressive technically, nonsense?

because its an arbitrary, shallow comparison you fool -- "mad max reminded me of mary poppins because they both involved women doing stunts"

like, even if there's a superficial overlap between the two, they're fundamentally different films in almost every stylistic and thematic way. and you happen to be wrong about mad max's plot - v concise storytelling. again take the L before i whup you further -- and don't you dare curse at me again. insolent, shameful

sidenote, CA's approach to creating (usually arbitrary) debates:
    >interpret a post however you want (most effective if you're wildly presumptive) and be extremely confrontational
    >ignore any clarification provided by the other party
    >continue to push whatever point you wanted to make, even if it's now obviously unnecessary, to establish superiority

    i f---s with it
