But like @Boos said, he was off-putting, which is what they intended for him.
I hated him and Jack, as far as within the story, but I loved the two characters and their nuances.
Same as Chuck though. In the BB world, I can't stand him, but as far as character development and portrayal? It's brilliant.
Skylar is another story. I couldn't stand her or f---ing Ted. I liked Skylar the first two seasons, but I hated her after she kicked Walt out.
Nothing was more satisfying than the scene where Walt and her battle wits in season 5, and he talks about having her committed, then she tells him she's waiting for the cancer to come back. But watching Walt school her was priceless.
Before, I was talking about great antagonists on the show. So maybe I didn't mean "hate" as a real hate for the character.
Like my hate for Ted and Skylar are different than my hate for Chuck/Todd/Gus/Jack etc. -

My hope is Saul will link back up with future Jesse, get closure with Kim, and finalize the BB and BCS story together.FilmAndWhisky, dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl, PistolPistol and 3 others like this. -

Another thing - So far, every season starts with a flash forward to Gene aka Saul after BB. First season showed him watching old commercials on video tape. Second showed him trapped by dumpsters, scared to use an emergency exit because of the chance of him being afraid of being recognized and arrested. I wonder what this one will be if they keep it up. I have always wanted to see Saul watching the news break the story of Walt's death. I feel his reaction to that could be golden.dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl, DKC, nottav and 3 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

I don't see how anyone could every say Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad, when it wouldn't even exist if it didn't stem from the greatest show of all time.
I love BCS, I think it's one of the best shows on television right now. A lot of people talk about the pacing. BB was slow too, and that's with someone like Walt as their main character, going through a life altering situation that ended up being an incredibly brutal journey.
On BCS, we're watching Jimmy McGill learn the empty value of honor and loyalty in the world of legal practice, until he inevitably rids himself of them completely when he becomes Saul Goodman.
Walter White becoming Heisenberg in comparison to Jimmy becoming Saul... When you think about the comparison between those two transformations, you might can work up a giggle to help you resist the urge to slap people for saying stupid s--- about BB. I mean WWWWD?
So ready for Season 3, and I love this being a prequel so we really get a fresh insight into all sorts of characters from wayyyyyyyy before they ever had the misfortune of meeting Walt.
Also, I really enjoy how each season premiere (the first two at least, I just assume this will become a reoccuring thing) show the shell of a man Jimmy/Saul/Gene has become after he takes on his new identity to get away from the law and wrath of Heisenberg. I would really love to see him watching TV, and seeing the live News Report stating that Walt has been found dead. I just wanna see Bob Odenkirk nailing what I think would be an emotionally exhausting scene for his character, but one that also reminds the viewer why he was born for this role the same way Bryan Cranston was made to play Walter White.dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl, pluto✰, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and 3 others like this. -

Great season but the finale was really weak. I'm trying to think of a Breaking Bad episode that was worse than it and I can't. Cannot wait for season 2 though.Sahara, DKC, Ordinary Joel and 3 others like this. -

Crazy how quick Chuck with from being this innocent guy to the biggest a------ on the show. I hated Howard all season but realized that just about every bad thing that happened to Jimmy was because of Chuck. Kim is a loyal a--- chick though. This was a great first season.Ordinary Joel, Nav Bhatia, tomroe93 and 3 others like this. -

I like how "small" the show feels right now. The BB/BCS universe has barely been explored. It's like we're playing a video game we've only unlocked 4% of the map.
- Interested to see the "work" Mike gets into. Gus? Will we see Victor again?
- Hope they don't dwell on the Jimmy/Kim love story. I don't care.
- Saul transformation is coming.
- How will the timeline change? When will we see episodes set in BB era? (2008ish) Who will we see?
- CAN'T f---ing WAIT TO SEE IT PICK UP IN THE FUTURE (Cinnabon Saul)

Last episode in particular was PHENOMENAL. I was hoping they would dive into Mike's past in Philadelphia ever since Hank mentioned it in "Madrigal" and I was NOT disappointed. Loving this show, and how it ties into the BB universe. -
