Apr 28, 2022The fact that they would care so much about something like this is what makes them the best. Most shows would ignore it and honestly Saul just bullshitting is a perfectly fine explanation. It could have easily been explained if they had known about it at the start of BCS though so it makes me think they were made aware of it pretty far in

Rewatching s1e2 and I completely forgot about all the Tuco stuff, that broken leg s--- makes me cringe like the curb stomp scene in American History X.
Man the BB universe has so many amazing villains—even ones like Tuco that are relatively minor in the scope of things. Your average TV show would be lucky to have one villain half as good as Gus or Lalo, and this series has them both plus Tuco, Uncle Jack, Todd, the Cousins. Probably forgetting more minor ones but they even use characters like Lydia and Chuck in villainous ways even if they're not full-on antagonists.asvdawg, Yeez, Ordinary Joel and 3 others like this. -

It's hard to tell what he's implying about Nacho. He's blaming him but he's not talking about him in the present. Gus obviously wants him and his dad dead. I could see Mike faking that call just to f--- up Tyrus and taking off trying to get Nacho himself.asvdawg, DKC, Sign Language and 3 others like this. -

Jimmy is more redeemable in that he doesn’t ever do anything as heinous and unforgivable as many of the things Walt does but I disagree with the notion that Walt was some evil sociopath from the start. It’s easy to come to that conclusion because we don’t see Walt struggling to provide for his family legally for years before we meet him, we only get a very brief glimpse of it at the start of S1. Most of what we see of Walt is his descent into blatantly not caring about his family and doing whatever it takes to get more money and power. The difference is, we’re with Jimmy during the few years of his life where he is trying to go legit and be a good person. For several seasons. Societal pressures force both of them into crime, Walt just goes a lot further.Sign Language, Ordinary Joel, asvdawg and 3 others like this. -

Been so long since I’ve seen the first few seasons I feel like I needa rewatch the whole thing before this premieres.
Glad they’re ending it before it gets bad, but it’s def a little bittersweet to know that this is likely the last of the Breaking Bad universe before they inevitably reboot it in 2053.asvdawg, Ordinary Joel, Ricky and 3 others like this. -

could be a stretch but there’s obviously rare scenarios where blood clots and things of a cardiac nature get involved
could also be a chain reaction that started at dehydration shooting in the desert which forces the heart to work harder

I thought the ending was pretty fitting actually. It makes sense that someone does jail time for everything that transpired during the BCS/BB timeline, and I think Saul finally realized he should confront his problems rather than hide behind his Saul Goodman persona.
My main complaint about the final season is that it was largely predictable. It was still executed well but everyone pretty much knew how Lalo would die in the lab and that Saul would go to jail. The biggest surprise to me was Howard's death...I was genuinely shocked when I saw that. I had a feeling he'd die by committing suicide but had no idea the cartel and legal parts of the show would collide and end with Lalo murdering Howard (and then having them buried together). That was probably the greatest moment of the final season.Ordinary Joel, Reed Richards, asvdawg and 2 others like this. -

I’m satisfied. A bit cheesy, but I’m satisfied.
his last hoorah in the courtroom was great. Prison bus chant was a bit weird.
I will say I’m glad they didn’t go the “one last kiss” route. When Kim looks out the door window to see if anyone is watching in the interrogation room I thought for sure it was going that direction.
And honestly, I’m glad neither of them died. I think it wraps up the show nicely. It’s just another transformation of the character. We saw Slippin Jimmy turn into Jimmy McGill, attorney at law. Then from Jimmy to Saul Goodman, the criminal lawyer. To Gene the depressed Cinnabon manager, once again to Jimmy McGill, but grown. I’m glad he took responsibility, and I’m glad he was able to have his moment with Kim.
was this an ending comparable to BB? Not even close. It’s not even close to the best episode of the season. But, I did still enjoy it and I was still kind of on the edge of my seat when Saul implied he was going to completely throw Kim under the bus to save himself.Ordinary Joel, Mothrfckr, asvdawg and 2 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up)
