Jul 18, 2022 I guess the Gus seen was to show Gus leading a "normal" life for once only to finally snap back into "business" mode when realizing he was having too much fun. Rethinking though, the breakup scene quickly followed by the transition into the BB era is actually sad as h---. Jimmy died it's all Saul now
Jul 18, 2022 Yeah that Mike scene was very weird and uncharacteristically naive of Mike, feel like they shoehorned that in because they forgot they had to wrap it up or some s---
Jul 18, 2022 The 10 minute gay scene was just.... f--- me lol. Thank God everything from Howard's gathering at HHM to the end was perfect and saved the episode.
Jul 18, 2022 How does that convo in the writer’s room even go?? “Lots of important things to wrap up here: Lalo and the cartel, the aftermath of Howard’s death, the end of Kim’s arc, the final death of Jimmy McGill…” “We sure they know Gus is gay?” “Oh f---, clear the schedule”
Jul 18, 2022 Seeing the "slight nudity" warning at the beginning of the episode had me worried when this scene came on
Jul 19, 2022 Liked this episode, all coming together. I think it will wrap up up saul timeline in next two eps as it’s picking the pace up now. Much to get through in the gene timeline so I’m sure they will give a episode or two for that.
Jul 19, 2022 Gotta wonder what we’re gonna get here seeing as we’re firmly in the BB timeline. Mike and Gus’ crew behind the scenes before and during the Heisenberg era, Saul behind the scenes while he reps Walt and Jesse. Kinda think Walt and Jesse will be in more than just a scene now, we’ll see
Jul 19, 2022 For some reason I stopped watching this after Chuck committed suicide, and forgot all about it. I guess by the end of the 3rd season I forgot about Jimmy's eventual transformation into Saul Goodman and lost interest. Judging though from all the interest in it lately while mostly steering clear of spoilers it was apparently worth the wait. Seems I have some catching up to do. Also looking forward to the Walter and Jesse cameos.
Jul 20, 2022 I think it's only going to be one, maybe two episodes of BB timeline and then the remaining 2 or 3 episodes post BB/Gene timeline closing out the story.
Jul 20, 2022 Obviously wasn’t just about that lmao. It was about seeing the man behind the mask, seeing Gus for the first time just trying to get away from it all and enjoying himself like a normal human being for a moment. Next time we’ll see Gus is when he’s deep into his m--- emporium, so it was nice to see the human side of him for 10 minutes.
Jul 20, 2022 They have set up a Kim Spin Off series pretty well if they ever decide to do that. Time jump after she leaves, opens that up anyways. Maybe they fill in the gaps during this season for her arc but if not, then seems like they did this, for that reason. I personally don’t think we will her again this season till the Gene timeline so a spin off series with her would make sense and I would watch that, good character.
Jul 20, 2022 Nah the only spinoff that would work would be a Salamanco one. Either the whole family or a Lalo centered one.
Jul 20, 2022 Kim was a fine, probably even very good supporting character but i don’t give 2 s----s about exploring her as a character any further lol
Jul 20, 2022 i remember Giancarlo Esposito hinting at possible Gus spin-off...and his rise in the cartel im sure the Salamanca would be in that 1
Jul 21, 2022 Meh, Cartel been done a million times and is never that good of a story. Works in BCS because of Lalo being such a great character and it being back drop to the BB story but wouldn’t be interested seeing a series about cartel family again. Maybe I’m just put of from it, because it was awful in Ozark but I rather see it go to Gus or Kim anyways.
Jul 21, 2022 You can't base your feelings on the cartels portrayal in Ozark lol that was a joke. They let a white American guy come down and become the head of it. The only thing that makes Kim interesting in BCS is that she's part of Sauls story and we don't know where it ends. There's nothing in her background that was entertaining. I think that would be the most boring show ever . If there was a Salamanco type spin off Gus would obviously be a part of it somehow...at the same time these guys are getting older and if they did go that route they'd have to have younger actors portray them. Not trying to see the guy who plays Hector Salamanca in a toupee pretending to be 20
