Sep 4, 2021 Eminem had his first three albums and no matter what revisionist writing there is, "oh actually it didn't age well, actually it's really bad", they are still hall of fame albums at the end of the day. They had everyone bleaching their hair, trying to dress like Eminem, live like Eminem, everything. A massive, massive echo. None of the s--- he's put out since -- that's nearly 20 years -- has had that impact or is really remembered by most people. If I'd go out on the street and ask someone about MMLP2 or Revival, they would not know what I am talking about. None of them are still in conversation, outside of ex-USSR countries. Kanye's had College Dropout, Graduation, 808s, Dark Fantasy, Watch The Throne, Yeezus, Pablo, and Donda, albums that people will & have not shut up about, and are all leagues better and more interesting than even Eminem's best albums. Creatively, this guy is constantly said to be the McCartney, Wilson, MJ, Prince of hip hop & pop. I have never once heard Eminem mentioned in the same vain.

People are trying to keep him up there but his music started to be weak with TLOP, now he just a glorified Khaled even if it hurts saying it. Donda is as big as it is because of the events and being a Kardashian lol. Cause the project isn't great at all. Both goats, but I think Em's quality is slowly going up again, while Kanye's went downhill.

Sep 5, 2021 I feel you, the 1st artist I remember stanning was 50. I do think Eminem's recent work is better than both JIK and Donda (although I do need more time with Donda), Kanye for sure has the better discography overall. You could argue Eminem had the higher peak, but Ye's consistency throughout his career is pretty remarkable.
