I think both had the problem of being too lyrical miracle for my taste, but Big L sometimes dropped amazing punchlines. On the other hand, Big Pun rapped on better beats and had the better flow.

As a rapper I take Big L but as a whole Pun.

    Big Pun's album >>> Big L's

L had punchlines for days, didn't result in too much good music tho

Capital Punishment might, maybe, possibly be the best album either of them made, but i'd argue lamont was the better rapper. more charisma.

This one is tough since they were both brilliant but it's Punisher for me. A larger than life persona behind the mic with one of the most effortless flows/deliveries hip-hop has ever seen.

I actually used to live a few blocks away from where Pun & his family grew up over there in Soundview.
