    To add on to Swizz’s point, I think the 15 year run he had where he was constantly told he couldn’t do something or his stuff wasn’t good enough, and overcoming all of those things actually plays apart in his downfall. Now that we’re at the point where people are actually iffy on him, it seems as if he doesn’t care about that sentiment because everyone was so wrong before. He used to use it as motivation, but now it just seems as if he writes off anything critical as being incorrect.

    That's actually true.

    Normally I'd reject a theory like that, like 'why couldn't he always just be good?' but the thing is... he was getting middling-good-still-praise reactions to most s--- until Revival, so he still had a sense of being on the right track...

    Then Revival, even the biggest Stans, of which I am one, said "WHAT THE f--- IS THIS???" and he had no choice but to face facts and dig deep.
