Aug 20, 2016 He dropped the album on a special independant platform (pledge music) It's the actual album, tracklist out 19 tracks You had to preorder to get it He told everyone not to leak it I guess people are listening for the moment
Aug 20, 2016 people should listen. Dont leak it. if youre a poor person, go on pledge and just buy a digital download for $10; if you can spend more, then spend more. there is a lot of cool items available for purchase.
Aug 20, 2016 Bishop always been my man dude is super humble, real cool and funny I pledged and copped both physical and digital he's given us tons of free and quality material (storch, nottz, dre, focus, 9th beats...) Been waiting 10 years for this, i just sent him a message to congratulate him I'll give you my opinion on the album
Aug 20, 2016 I can't believe for a second that people have the album and it's not leaked. Absolutely impossible.
Aug 20, 2016 Okay. So this album is a trip down memory lane. It's purely west coast oriented, but the 03-08 Dr Dre sound (barton, elizondo, D.Parker, storch) beat wise if you liked this era, this is for you. Bishop's voice has really matured, which is normal, but not necessary a good thing this sound more like the Confessional than any other project (beats and lyrical content) well, I'd dare say it's a album version of the confessional It's very consistent with his previous works, some songs very good, some bangers, some mediocre Its starts strong, then kinda slows down, and finally finishes really strong Could have done with more Bishop hooks on this... also this project really misses a stand out track (like NN had Dont k--- Me, TC had Send A n----- Home etc...) If you've been fed with his free mixtapes (album material), and like it you should support him, you won't be disappointed -Then You Die could have done without the intro, but the song is dope, the feature actually brings a lot it dude is backing bishop vocals -Found a way out this gotta be a 06-07 Khalil beat. if it's not it definitely sounds like it. Liz on the hook, (which make me even more say it's a khalil beat) I'd say classic bishop mixtape track (confessional type) -The Heretic slow Piano beat + Choir , bishop weird screaming voice, it's okay i guess at the most -The Realest s--- This is Early 2000s, West coast s---. this gotta be old, it sounds like Elizondo/Barton. classic bishop subject matter about the game. -s---t Em Up, Khalil shout out. but it sounds like something scott storch would make -Crazy, Stat's got the first verse. this sounds strangely like a Dr Dre (Dretox type) beat. (and by the feature, could be one) so i won't lie, this track is crazy. No pun intended. -Life Or Death X and RBX, beat is a piano west coast beat "a la Dr Dre" you heard the snippet, the track is on the same level. RBX Stole the show. -Lord In Heaven don't know about this one, this is a khalil experimental beat from the sound of it. Kobe kills the hook tho. -Razor Blade, Kokane, Warren G this is a smooth bishop type track, real smooth a--- west coast s---. Kokane is a beast. -Here We Go Again, this gets a meeh from me. -Are you Ready, Focus apparently, good smooth track. vocals kinda boring and repetitive -Lost, ok this sounds like some serious s---. Well, nope. It sounds like Budden's "Broke" if u like this s---, u'll like it too -Dream Big, it's okay not a b-----r at all tho -The F Word, very dope, play it loud, it's the s--- you love. piano, choirs and all that s---. -Speak To Me, a west coast/gospel song. it goes with the concept of the album. and also different a bit from the rest, it's a cool thing at this point in the album -Devil in the way, oh god. (focus?) this about to finish real strong !!! -Phoenix, this gets thumbs up. hook is kinda commercial in a way though -Un American, ya know this s--- -Outro this is a first listen experience recap Church
Aug 20, 2016 On The Realest s--- and it's good so far. Production is more or less what I expected, maybe not as clean if Dre released it but it's in similar to tracks like Blow Your Mind & Hallelujah which is what I wanted.
Aug 20, 2016 Album kind of falls apart after Here We Go Again. My biggest issue with Bishop that is on display here is that he's a lyricist that displays moments of greatness but then constantly focuses on content like how other rappers are wack. It's boring to hear him spit about that content.
Aug 20, 2016 Are You Ready & Lost weren't that great imo that was a 3 track slump. Dream Big is dope tho, I could see a lot of underground rappers get on that beat
Aug 20, 2016 Those leaks won't last long I won't support because I pledged but go get your music!!!! Lol
Aug 20, 2016 I pledged. People should just pay the 10 bucks for a download. It's very worth it. Only song I don't like is Lost. The girls voice is too much on it. And she takes up most of the track. Overall very happy. Do it 4 the Love is now on BLs SoundCloud too for anyone who wanted that track.
Aug 20, 2016 Still confused. Is this the mastered version of the album he was going to release on Aftermath with all the Dre production in tact?
