I'm not taking it to the extreme. I'm interpreting it as it was written and even if it were just a misdemeanor, how does that change anything I wrote?

    The request is ludicrous.

So do you only care about things happening in your own country?

you probably broke like 3 laws this morning that you didn't even know existed. I get your point, but it is pretty hard lol. technically walking across the road (where there isn't a crossing) is breaking the law.

No, but I wouldn't form such a solid opinion on a matter which pertains to something I've never lived through.

it's not like it's the presidential election being discussed which will matter through out the world. We're talking about an american problem, I wouldn't discuss the problems of another country for 9 pages.

Just keep in mind while we work to abolish prisons jails and cops that while black people are 16% of the population, they are responsible for 53% of murders. Let's only focus on Cops who k--- black people though since that is really the problem...

If you don't want to get risk an altercation with a cop, then don't break the law, and if you do break the law than don't resist arrest, obey his instructions, and show respect to authority and you'll be fine.

I honestly think less of anyone who says the words "black on black crime" in earnest.

why would you assume that? they've been doing that all along? why would they come up with sudden demands without implied escalation? "You better listen, or else we're gonna keep doing what we've been doing!"
That doesn't just apply to black people, it applies to poor people in general. Do you think the white hicks in buttfuck kentucky are any better off smoking m--- and f---ing their sisters? People are kept down because of their social standing not their race.

I mean, 30 years is a much much smaller time frame than 300 years, so the "I didn't put them in concentration camps" thing is much less valid because, like, it's possible that the people who were paying reparations were the ones that put them in concentration camps. And if someone who is proven to have benefited from slavery wants to take it upon themselves and pay reparations to proven ancestors of slaves, more power to them. Whatever they want to do. Should it be mandatory, and should it be demanded? Absolutely not.

sure why not add extra stress to the ones keeping the streets clean just because? 1980s miami is a perfect example of what understaffed police forces lead to. exploitation of the law because there's power in numbers.

i mean, I think it's a pretty objective point of view. The law is irrelevant, no matter what it is if you look at it objectively. They knew the rules and they broke them to try and get ahead. When they got caught they wanted the laws to be changed so they wouldn't be in trouble anymore. Doesn't matter what the law is, it shows that the INDIVIDUALS who broke the law, regardless of race or gender, are willing to pick and choose what laws they follow based on what benefits them. Is the solution to the problem to say "well there's so many people selling drugs, might as well legalize drugs"? What if theres a huge spike in people selling and buying child pornography? "well so many people are buying and selling child pornography, might as well legalize it!" Those poor disenfranchised pedophiles..

alright i'll concede i didn't read into what that tidbit meant. at the end of the day though it still has to go somewhere and low cost housing is low for a reason.

I'm not referring to BLM as criminals. I'm referring to the criminals living in the community and breaking the law. Not everyone in the community. Not everyone in BLM. But there are going to be criminals in every community. Why should the law breakers that are there be able to have their say in who enforces the law? That's just going to lead to more corruption.

    capitalism

false equivalency. sit ins =/= riots. if a white person did a sit in they wouldn't have been arrested. if a white person incited a riot and looting and fighting and violence, they would.

i think a more accurate reading of my post would have been "If you can't type your research paper at home, go somewhere where you can -- a library for instance."

You guys do realize that their platforms simply wants the check box to be removed from applications. They want ex-offenders to be able to show their qualifications before being turned down due to their criminal history. A daycare is certainly going to run a background check on whoever they hire regardless if there's a check box or not.
