    when should they then? whats your solution? i don't give a s--- about being "correct" or whatever, if I'm looking to hire a new designer or account manager under me i want to know that person isn't convicted of selling drugs or on drugs themselves. i need to rely and depend on that person for the future of my business that I invested my life, and my life savings into. I have a right to know that persons criminal background if I want to hire them.

    Same goes for a f---ing wal mart manager. If a person is trying to get a job stocking shelves, I'd want to know if they've got a history of theft. It's just absurd to want to abolish background checks.

    I agree with this in some cases but it isn't just a race thing. I had a misdemeanor in 2009 which was the only reason I lost a job I really wanted in 2015. I even worked there for 4 days before they realized it, it was weird.

    But yeah kinda ridiculous to lose out on a job from a misdemeanor that's 6 years old, but oh well I get it. I know they gotta screen people somehow.
