Man idk, from what I've seen both Canelo & GGG come in on fight night at 170+. This was for the middleweight title, fighting at 160 shouldn't have been an issue. Canelo was the champ of a weight class he'd never even fought at before lol. Has he even fought a true middleweight? Either he or De La Hoya are being p-----s, most likely both. This looks much worse than just losing to GGG would have.

People forget how nasty a 20 something Floyd was. I just got a DVD set of every fight of his(as well as every episode of 24/7 and All Access)

That beating he put on Gatti in 2005 never gets old.

Staying on topic Triple G and Canelo better happen. Garcia and a focused Broner would be good, too.

Floyd would have been far more entertaining if he didn't have baby hands. Had to rock big a--- gloves and be methodical or he'd break them. That Gatti fight never should have happened though. Hard to watch him get fed to the wolves like that.

He was unbelieveable to watch from like 01-07. His fight with Corrales will always be one of my favorites.

youre insane. Floyd has never dealt with an offense like Leonard. Leonard dealt with defense like Floyd (wilfredo benitez)

You're not going to win on points against Floyd. You're just not. That means SRL has to knock him out, and I've never seen Floyd in trouble for a whole round let alone a significant stretch of a fight. He's too good man. I hate him, but he's just untouchable. No offense to SRL either.

Well that's fine, you can have your opinion but you're wrong. Leonard beat the better opponents compared to Floyd, dude knocked out Tommy Hearns, Kalule, beat Duran, Hagler, Benitez, Floyd's resume frankly can't compare. Floyd's defense is not tested vs someone with Leonard's offensive arsenal. His work rate would be high no matter what Floyd would try to do. SRL could win on points or KO it wouldn't matter. I guess you are under the illusion that Floyd would somehow be able to shut down SRL, when thats just not possible and Floyd's never done it to an opponent the caliber of Leonard.

Floyd is just badly outgunned here, not only is Ray leonard bigger, stronger, hits harder, hes also got the faster hands, faster feet, better combination punching and he had that killer instinct.. Floyd would get destroyed here, bombed on. Theres a reason he never fought Paul Williams, margarito, prime cotto or prime Pacquiao.

No doubt is SRL's resume better, but that's not what we're talking about. In the ring, Floyd shuts him down like he does everybody. We've seen every style in the book thrown at him. Nothing works. There's no chink in his armor where I can bet on somebody over him. I'm sure people who didn't grow up watching Mayweather or SRL will have a clearer opinion. As it stands, there's a lot clouding our perceptions.

Once again. floyd has never been in with a style of Leonard's greatness. Hes never seen combos like Leonard. Resume matters, brother. Leonard dealt with Defensive Wizard Wilfredo Benitez and knocked him out, a guy that was arguably more talented with floyd without the dedication.. SRL would TKO him in similar fashion.

Of course there is chinks in Floyd's armor hes not a perfect fighter dude. Theres nobody around that can exploit his flaws. He arguably lost to Jose Luis Castillo.

You're doing what everybody has done throughout Floyd's career. He won't be able to handle _______ because of his ________. Then Floyd fights him and the guy barely wins 4 rounds. In 20 years, people will talk about Floyd's resume with the same romanticism as any other legend.

I don't trust anybody who can write off the best defensive boxer of all time so easily.

In all honesty this is going to be my last post about this subject because you clearly are badly underrating Leonard. Leonard is not like any of Floyd's other opponents. His offense is on a whole nother level. Some with his skill level. Floyd never fought someone equivalent in skill to him - Leonard regularly did, against Hearns, Benitez, Hagler and Duran. Just take a look at Floyd's resume, except for Corrales and Castillo (who beat Floyd in the first fight) All of Floyd's great wins are over overmatched, comprised opposition where he has some sort of advantage via catch weight, age, or timing.

Maybe because hes not the best defensive boxer of all time? Haha, cmon man. Willie Pep and Whitaker would love a word with you. Nicolino Locche as well.

Whitacker was good, but too full of ego and undisciplined. He would get too macho for his own good. Mayweather is the full evolved version of him.

Please don't bring up pre-WWII fighters. That's not even the same sport.

Whitaker, pep and locche are better defensively than Floyd. Floyd is just a cherry picker and he's tricked you into thinking he's TBE. Had to wait until Pacquiao got KO'd for a 3rd time before he had the balls to fight him

    ok im done
