Not really a big fan of either, but it should be entertaining. Backing Porter. Thurman is so overhyped.

What do you think about pro boxers being allowed in the Olympics? I'm excited for it. A good way to take politics out of the sport. Might see the best fighting the best every 4 years. The WBC has put their foot down on their atheletes competing with a 2 year ban. A lot of people are pissed because it should be for prospects and growing talent. I don't see why that still can't be true. Other people are pissed over health concerns, but they're only 3 round bouts. I don't see anybody dying.

I got Thurman by points. hes got the stylistic advantage, better overall boxer imo.

I think its a terrible idea. You are essentially matching up boys with seasoned professional men. And sure, sometimes some super talented Olympians will be able to outpoint some of the pros, but its just not a good idea imo. Its also going f--- with the standard growth of fighters - now they won't get the amateur education that they use to recieve before diving into the pros. I have no idea why it would be OK for pacquiao and amir khan to start f---ing up amateurs in the Olympics - why? Complete horse s---. Also the health issue is very much a factor because any time you get punched you risk getting killed. That risk is going to be multiplied once you start matching up men with boys. Bad idea.

There are tons of 25+ year old career amateurs. Tons of pro boxers don't have deep amateur backgrounds. You sound like somebody's mom. No boxer competing at the Olympic level is going to die from one punch. Three rounds is nothing. This makes boxing more similar to every other sport at the Olympics. Might even make people watch it a little more. i'm all for it.

Well boxing is different from any other sport in the olympics because its full contact combat. Its not just about the age its the experience factor. There is going to be tons of mismatches and it wont be pretty. like i said these new rules will also f--- with the amateur development.

Have you seen footage of Mike Tyson in the junior olympics? Nah, amateur development will still happen. With the rule changes, it will be more similar to the real thing. Not to mention standouts from obscure nations won't be screwed for most of their career like Golovkin and Lomachenko.

Tyson, Lomachenko and Golovkin are anomalies, I am talking about underdeveloped kids that will get matched up with seasoned pros & get f----- up, thats all there is to it. of course there will always be guys like Benitez who are extremely talented at 17 years old - but they will be the anomalies.

I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about the guys they were fighting.

Really? Murray showed some heart late I guess. I expected it to be a bit more competitive. Bit of a let down.

What a farce of a match up. It's insane that Joshua has a world title without a legit win on his record. He's still an untested project and tonight didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. Also, if he doesn't gas going to 12 with that physique then any claims of him being clean are even more ludicrous.

I wouldn't have a problem if he didn't have a belt. He's being brought along at a good rate. It's just ridiculous that he's already a champ before they're pitting him against actual competition. Especially when Britain has such a strong domestic scene.
