Aug 29, 2018 It is incorrect because the definition of the term shooting and how it is used. There is no legal definition of mass shooting. Also, the website was derived from gunsarecool subreddit which is anti-gun board. They use stats that shows 4 or more people who were injured while the CRS defined it as 4 or more people killed not including the shooter in a single incident. After Sandy Hook, Congress defined it was as 3 or more killed. If you count the amount of victims of each incident, you can see the number of “mass shootings” decreases exponentially.

I guess I should have included it in my original post but he said somewhere that 'mass shootings' on that chart are defined as a shooting with 4 or more people shot. Regardless if you only wanna look at deaths he covered that too, here's the US since January 1st. 9,585.

Aug 29, 2018 It does in the larger picture but as for the main point of the tweet, it doesn’t. Whether you define mass shootings as 3 or more dead or 4 or more injured, the fact still remains these incidents occur much more frequently in the U.S. than other developed countries.
