Mar 14, 2015 I was also going to mention Chamillionaire's Ultimate Victory. I think it's a very good album Although lack of cussing is kinda lame, kind of a Mormon thing. Especially when Cham would say "ishhh" instead of s---, or a reversed version of "a---". He might as well be cussing. I even remember on one of the Mixtape Messiah albums he said "iggans" instead of "n----s" and I was like
Mar 14, 2015 Of course.. you don't need to cuss to make a statement, or tell a great story in your songs. No one listens to a song for cussing anyway..cursing is just a way to express your self in a way you can't with clean lyrics, but then again.. if you're good.. you can make a great song/album without cussing.. it's not really needed.
Mar 14, 2015 A rapper CAN make it big without cussing, the issue is, I don't think there is a rapper who never feels like cussing in their music at one point in their life.
Mar 14, 2015 Danny brown is writing a children's book, and I could see him doing a very successful clean album
Mar 14, 2015 Yeah Chamillionaire is super lame for that. He still writes his music with cuss words in - then just swaps them out for corny replacements
Mar 14, 2015 He did that on Creepin Solo with Game & Ludacris, and theirs was completely uncensored. s--- had me confused for he longest time
Mar 14, 2015 Lecrae is becoming more successful than i ever imagined. Also mase did it with his welcome back album. 808s was a clean album from kanye.
Mar 14, 2015 KRS-One, A Tribe Called Quest etc., there's a lot of artists that don't cuss and are still big.
Mar 14, 2015 will smith pretty much /threaed this s--- that doesn't mean the rest of his family aren't worthless blights on the face of hollywood though
Mar 14, 2015 f--- no. Chamillionaire never dropped another album after his swear free album. Coincidence! ?
Mar 14, 2015 Cham made a big mistake dropping Ultimate Victory a week after Graduation/Curtis came out.. Also not having a radio hit for that album. Idc though, I thought it was great. It even had a Lil Wayne feature before Lil Wayne features were cool Sorry for going off-topic, never really get to discuss Cham on this board
