I was also going to mention Chamillionaire's Ultimate Victory. I think it's a very good album

Although lack of cussing is kinda lame, kind of a Mormon thing. Especially when Cham would say "ishhh" instead of s---, or a reversed version of "a---". He might as well be cussing. I even remember on one of the Mixtape Messiah albums he said "iggans" instead of "n----s" and I was like :hmmmmm:

Of course.. you don't need to cuss to make a statement, or tell a great story in your songs. No one listens to a song for cussing anyway..cursing is just a way to express your self in a way you can't with clean lyrics, but then again.. if you're good.. you can make a great song/album without cussing.. it's not really needed.

A rapper CAN make it big without cussing, the issue is, I don't think there is a rapper who never feels like cussing in their music at one point in their life.

It's kind of a part of the art of hip-hop's freedom of expression.

Danny brown is writing a children's book, and I could see him doing a very successful clean album

Yeah Chamillionaire is super lame for that. He still writes his music with cuss words in - then just swaps them out for corny replacements

KRS-One, A Tribe Called Quest etc., there's a lot of artists that don't cuss and are still big.

It shows a lack of intelligence to constantly have to swear for the sake of swearing

Cham made a big mistake dropping Ultimate Victory a week after Graduation/Curtis came out.. Also not having a radio hit for that album. Idc though, I thought it was great. It even had a Lil Wayne feature before Lil Wayne features were cool

Sorry for going off-topic, never really get to discuss Cham on this board :emoji_cry:
