    Jaba24 Merry Christmas!

    This video is f---ing genius.

So many different messages are conveyed in this video.

Lets start off by analyzing the ending. What does the cop "Shooting" kendrick symbolize? why does him reading the poem at the end again symbolize? and why is he still alive at the end?

The cop shooting Kendrick obivously shows the connection with police shootings and fellow African Americans, but the reason he is still alive (and still smiling and laughing) is the connection to the song. The cops shooting down some of us blacks won't stop us from spreading positivity and love all around the USA, aka the whole reason of the song, "We Gon Be Alright" He uses the shooting to give him and the community the strength to still smile and encourage black culture.

The video being black and white is an nod to the album cover and symbolizes racial tension (black and white). The cops holding the Black Hippy car carriage doubles as a casket and something slaves carried royalty on. Kendrick being in the air is representative of a euphoria and assurance that things will be "alright".
