Aug 11, 2021 We're all talking anecdotal, but yeah I hear him played quite a lot especially for a legacy act & obviously songs like In Da Club are never going to go away. Timeless. All the new s--- that America has released doesn't really cross over like it used to as far as hip hop with Drake being the only exception but it's usually his pop hits.
Aug 11, 2021 I know...I'm not arguing about whether or not it's played in Europe. There's nothing for him to be right about because I'm not disputing that fact. I'm talking about the USA. Yall keep saying "no, I heard him at bars in europe" responding to an argument I'm not making. I know he's played in Europe and other places.
Aug 11, 2021 He is not even played in Europe. Maybe The Real Slim Shady on 2000s club night but that's it.
Aug 11, 2021 Imagine people in 2002 swearing to their kids that Twisted Sister and other hair metal bands from 1983 were actually cool
Aug 11, 2021 Club hits are cool, but aren’t the be all end all here. Feel like people forget that Eminem has a decent list of well known songs. Is this not what these really are; well known song battles? Crowd pleasers? At least that’s my understanding. This op video is clearly a bait/troll job, but Till I Collapse alone s----s on a lot of rappers’ entire hit catalog, and I don’t even think that s--- was a single or even charted. Drake, Wayne, Kanye, are some notable people who would eat Eminem in a versuz. I’d take 50 over Em as well. Many Men >>> any song any opponent tries playing
Aug 11, 2021 Em has plenty of good songs and collabs, they just not singles or big. No Apologies for example is one of my fav Em songs.
Aug 11, 2021 Anyway he obviously doesn't make music for the club pr the hood. So it's funny when people say they don't hear him there. And dude is 50 years old to make it more funny.
Aug 11, 2021 I feel like a lot of people love to act like "no one listens to Eminem in America all his fans are foreign" which is wrong Em is still very popular but like you said who the f--- would play Em in a club or party imagine gnat or fall being played in the clubs lol
Aug 11, 2021 Em has been on Biggie(posthumous), Jay-Z, nas albums and produced a whole posthumous pac album with the help of afeni. Has the respect of countless pioneers of rap. The nas feature was recent, along with some interviews with kool g rap and others, so it can’t be said he hurt his legacy. Within the real hip hop community, where actual pioneers reside, Eminem chills with them as one of them. Public opinion doesn’t matter, it’s the respect of his peers, and he’s got it. People who say Eminem doesn’t belong are the ones who wish they were important in the hip hop community.
Aug 12, 2021 Thuggers my fav rapper and Iwant to hate on Em but got to admit he would probably wash all those dudes in a battle if he played his old stuff
Aug 12, 2021 He isn't the one that said that lol. I've seen this on hiphop sites as well "yo eminem doesn't make music for tha hood!" Lol. Exactly what you say, what is "the hood" ...and why would he care if he sells millions every year
