    Anyone who has followed Linkin Park know that he was actually a very troubled individual and recovering drug addict for the entirety of their fame... this is one of those things that shouldn't surprise anyone but no one thought it would be something that actually happened

    I assume the death of Chris put him over the edge

    Chester was one of the best lead singers ever tbh. Linkin Park was a groundbreaking group and was a huge part of my childhood. This news is so painful to hear. RIP

    Probably a lot of people have similar experiences, but Linkin Park played a significant role in shaping my musical tastes as a kid growing up I don't know what to feel

    Sad really... Aside from him being a great vocalist.. He was a husband and a father, a father of six kids... Crazy world. A person is able to give their all to help and save millions of people (in anyway possible) in his case it's through his music, but sometimes in the end that one person can't even help nor save themselves...Things like that don't occur to just any kind of people. Life was never fair and it should not be taken for granted. I never followed their career, like many of the people but I was definitely a fan. Hope he's in a better place now and my condolences and prayers to his family and kids.

    Yeah I know it's sort of a joke that LP's music has always been about nothing but angst and depression but Chester himself had did an incredible job over the past 20 years seeming to be fully functioning and healthy...you never know what goes on behind closed doors...

    Many people who are depressed keep it to themselves & can hide it from friends & family.
    Obviously his friend Cornell dying had a huge impact on him.
