I met the band before they blew up with that single one step closer. I have a couple copies of that single on cassette autographed by the entire band. They opened up for Rehab and Kottonmouth Kings in 2000 at St. Andrews Hall. After their set they all came out in the crowd and chilled.

Wow! Very symbolic...You know what MJ also died before a major tour...I hope nothing happens to Em...I mean Chester had kids, millions of dollars, people who love him and it didnt matter to him if he took his life...Suicide is not the answer

Okay. Is One More Light growing on anyone else? The title track hits me right in the feels.

    Love the title track

Bought the album a few days ago, and while it's not my kind of music, I get sentimental when listening to it

these were exactly the ones i meant too

also What I've Done and The Little Things Give You Away (even if the former is essentially a stereotypical LP single sounding song, it's pretty good, especially the piano on that track)

    btw @Changeling

have u revisited OML since all this?

i've been playing through some of it recently, there's a couple pretty decent tracks (even if they're nothing like LP really)

I like Good Goodbye and especially Talking To Myself (that guitar for the chorus :allears:)

talkin about this makes me want to do a "what's everyone's favorite songs off each album" thread for LP

There's definitely some great songs on OML. Heavy has been stuck in my head lately. Also love Nobody Can Save Me and Talking to Myself. It took like three full listens for me to appreciate it. As soon as you get over the fact that Linkin Park made it you'll finally be able to enjoy it for what it is.

And yes, I also never gave MTM a fair chance until now either. It was a polarizing listen when it was released but revisiting it now it's honestly aged extremely well. If I had a top 20 LP songs list probably half the songs on this album would be on it.

Also, I have Final Masquerade on repeat. What a great f---ing song.

Linkin Park released the video as a tribute to Chester. I didn't see anyone post it so I thought I'd.
