    It's possible that Kendrick was not in the music video on purpose, and instead his voice was used as a representation of God. Kendrick's verse sounds like he's giving advice to Chris Brown based on the experiences he's had in his career. Since kendrick is the rap god it would make sense for him not to be seen in the video, rather appear in a spiritual form lol e.g. the constant camera view of the sky with clouds. Also, the camera shots of the women, the beaches, the mountains (all of god's creations).

    There is a few references to God in this song:

    "When you outlandish and you lose manners, To God you shall consult"

    "When thugs cry, do you hear em' lord?"
