Sep 18, 2015 Nah, I read some article which said that Drake's marketing strategy is to have his PR team be invisible and release his music "personally" to his fans to give the illusion of intimacy. Like, calling IYRT a tape but giving it a full studio type release for example. And it's true if you think about it. I feel like a lot the distaste regarding Drake is by people who feel like this genuineness is "fake". And they're not wrong, I personally don't give a s--- as long as the music he puts out is dope. And it is. I dunno where these Drake 'biting styles' allegation are coming from, but let's put a pin in it. I'm down to discuss it tomorrow when I got more time. But yeah, I don't think Young Thug has any issues with Drake at all.
Sep 18, 2015 mannnn i get EXACTLY where this interviewer n-----'s comign form when he can't understand how thug doesnt read or watch tv or movies but has the vocab, and idioms, and phrases he does...its mind boggling lol @MTY u should watch this interview
Sep 18, 2015 when the interviewer specifically brought up drake thug ignored it completely and went back to kanye lmao. but yeah i get what ur saying
Sep 18, 2015 oh s--- this is nearly a half an hour f--- man i'll see how far i can get through it (was trying to listen to an album for my podcast, but thats on hold for now i guess)
Sep 18, 2015 Word I actually haven't had the opportunity to watch the whole thing yet. Gonna watch tonight in bed no h---
Sep 18, 2015 interviewer also 100% on point on culture vultures almost mocking ATL's existence in their coverage of that lifestyle... and thug thanking him for having him on right after that definitely explains why he took a long interviewer overseas like this rather than in the states..
Sep 18, 2015 he's only gonna get smarter man lol...like he's really about his self-assessment. he just keeps soaking in more and more information as he grows...imagine him at future's age....he'll be the greatest artist alive for f---s sake lol
Sep 18, 2015 Just got done watching the interview @Narsh, he's definitely a lot more articulate here than any other interview I've seen/read from him. I think there's certain things I'll disagree on with him but it's interesting to see him go in depth. Also his songwriting process was very similar to my own process making videos/PSAs for my school, give me a topic and I can start making a video within 5 minutes just as he can start planning out a verse within 5 minutes.
Sep 18, 2015 Also that we don't use scripts/write things down (I occasionally did if things got long-winded, but rarely need to) But yeah, this was a really interesting interview. Not sure if it changes my opinion on Thug as I still think he has loads of potential but wastes it on mediocre production.
Sep 18, 2015 what an interesting human being. he is truly one of a kind and I'm happy he took this interview seriously because it showed how intelligent he truly is. I hope he does more interviews in the future because I am totally fascinated by Jeffrey Williams.
Sep 19, 2015 This is one of the best interviews ive ever seen. GREAT interviewer. He actually made s--- comfortable
Sep 21, 2015 exactly. he treated thug like the rockstar he is...and didnt judge him like half of the US does lol...makes perfect sense why thug felt comfortable enough overseas with an interviewer like that rather than the usual BS he gets approached with.
Sep 21, 2015 When an artist comes to France to be interviewed you don't start with asking if he's gay, especially if you know that guy breaked the arm of his teacher when he was a kid
