    This album is brilliant,
    BUT you have to be in a certain mood to listen to it. It's not a conventional album.

    Im astounded by most of the comments in this thread. The album is a masterpiece. Second best of the year behind compton.

    I enjoy the album as much as I hoped :jordan:

    tbh first listen I hated it, second listen I liked it, third listen I loved it, 10 months later I still love it .... in fact I listen to it just much as I did/do GKMC

    I've got a feeling the public will turn around to this album some day

    I understand what there saying, the ablum isn't for everyone. I took me a few listens to fall in love with it, but its a f---ing classic

    Good article. I feel like everyone but Kendrick stans knew this. Solid effort but the album just isn't very enjoyable to listen to. Hopefully he gets back into his lane on his next project.

    no, it goes beyond that. plenty of brilliant albums are exhausting to a degree, and depend on mood/environment to fully enjoy them. that's not To p---- a Butterfly.

    I found this album boring from day one. It's more like an audiobook tbh. Kendrick hasn't made a good song since Swimming Pools. Such an overrated artist.

    I've grown to like this album more than when I first heard it (I've even bumped These Walls in the whip the other day when it was nice out) but I agree with having to be in a certain mood to listen front-to-back. I also don't watch The Shawshank Redemption everyday either, and that's a classic.

    At the end of the day it depends on taste and who you are as a person, but when people label TPAB 'boring' is beyond me.

    If anything after GKMC and what came after it people hyped his next record to the point where you had a certain idea what it would be, and when it didn't turn out that way it comes off as 'boring' because of your own hype. I haven't listened to it in full for a while, but it certainly is one of the best albums of 2015.

    You think all songs on TPAB and around it are bad? I mean I agree the album has almost no replay value but don't you take it too far with that statement?
