I think the album is fantastic. It doesn't have much replay value though - you've got to be in the mood to listen to it however that doesn't take away from me rating thr actual quality of the work.

There's a lot of movies I'll only watch once or twice, it doesn't mean they're not still classics.

    Idk WTFuck they talkin 'bout....

I've listened to this whole album front to back plenty of times since its release AND not once felt like it was too much..

With GKMC Kendrick was speaking about Compton life, which is something he knows like the back of his hand.
In TPAB he's speaking on his most recent experiences, and unfortunately for Kendrick we as the audience didn't share those experiences the past couple of years so we didn't get to witness the change in thought.

I can imagine critics picking about TPAB like they did GKMC....without understanding this is Kendrick 2.0

Edit: not sure where I was going with this??
But I enjoy the album every time i listen to it

I'm serious. Why wouldn't someone use the adjective enjoyable to describe a listener's interaction with the album?

I relistened to this yesterday for the first time in awhile, it holds up very well for the first half, but gets really bloated in the back end. Take out Momma, How Much A Dollar Cost, You Ain't Gotta Lie, and Mortal Man and it's much more concise. I think TBTB then i is a much better transition even though I like You Ain't Gotta lie...I've always felt like it was kinda out of place there. Obviously taking out Mortal Man and making i the last song gives the album a different message at the end, but I think it works really well.
