Not as blown away after first listen as I was with 2001. But Very few albums have. Compton was still very impressive after 1 round.

I loved this and think it is easily Dre's most consistent album. However it's highs are no where near 2001 and The Chronic. All in all it's a great album and probably my favorite from the last few years.

This a 10/10. Basically perfect. No, it doesn't have the "Dr. Dre" sound consider he experimented a bit. But it really was the best way to go out. My favorite songs: Its All On Me, Darkside/Gone, and Deep Water. There really isn't any bad at all. Btw, is it just me or does Ice Cube sound kinda like Crooked I here on Issues?

you right i mean 2001 was not consisten i only listen to the first 11 tracks on that album but the tracks on compton are all enjoyable

I'm on track 9..
Genocide is my favourite track so far.
That beat change on Darkside/Gone was amazing.
-There was talk on here that track that Loose Cannons ends with a cliff hanger and no conclusion.... Did I get a different version or am I missing something?
-That Paak kid is really good. He had me interested on Animals.
- Animals beat is amazing, can hear Preme and Dre's sound in it.
-Medicine Man is great, I'd hate to be Eminem guy gets scrutinized over any verse he does. I thought it was great.
-Ending is very solid.

Overall a great sounding album. I enjoyed it. The standout tracks from first listen for me were:

2. Talk About It
3. Genocide
6. Darkside/Gone
7. Loose Cannons
11. Just Another Day
14. Animals
15. Medicine Man
16. Talking To My Diary

That's not to say the other ones weren't good tracks. They were just can't really remember them right now save for a few versus (Xzibit's, ice cube etc).

just through the 1st listen and its a great album, production is soooo good

but people saying its better than his 1st 2 need to reel it the f--- in and relax

still kinda pissed we'll only ever hear 3 solo albums from Dre in over 2 decades, his vault has to be full of classics

Still not sure what to think about this album. It's definitely a great album but I'm having mixed feelings. Will have more time tonight to give it a good listen and letting it sink in.

At first thought it's really good, but I find that a few songs could have been better or even classic if a few changes would have been made to them.

It's an unreal album and the best I have heard in years, snoop and game were amazing, I loved Eminem's verse too despite the line about he even makes the b------s he rapes c-m

It will never top 2001 or The Chronic but nothing ever will, I would say Chronic>2001>Compton but its real close and anyone that disagrees with that is fine by me, its called an opinion

Anyone think Loose Cannon was destined for Em, would have much rather had Em on that then the disappointing Medicine Man.
