Get well soon m8, I wish that you don't have to regard your knee as a problem anymore. What does the doc(s) say when and how it'll get better?

Well we don't really know what's wrong yet. I went after I started to lose stability in my right knee, I would wobble when I would land on it while running. I took and X-Ray and they didn't find any fluid, then I had to do 3 months of physical therapy because my insurance didn't want to pay for the MRI right away. The physical therapist said my right knee points more toward the right so he thinks it's an alignment issue. We started working on my quad and calf strength and my hip flexibility. It got to the point where I could run normally again but I would still be in slight pain. My family doctor thinks I might have a tear in my meniscus, if that's the case and I have to get surgery then I should only be out two weeks before I can start physical therapy again, I just want to be pain free again =\

Thanks for asking man, I'll let you know what happens on Wednesday.

Yeah @Bleed I don't know how old you are but I'm assuming still relatively young, it's WOAT when I'm trying to play with my dog and my knee acts up if I put too much torque on it :emoji_slight_frown:

What exactly did you do to your knee?

Yea, I injured it playing football (american football) actually I was blind sided and someone came behind me and took out my knee

tore the knee cap, they called it a Torn Meniscus.. I refused surgery, let it heal natural.. it took 4 years to heal..and it kills me to this day, can barely walk sometimes

    This happened 10 years ago when I was 21, I'm 31 now

Sorry to hear that, any reason why you refused surgery? The customers I speak to at work tell me not to get cause you'll never be the same, but I'm willing to put in the work to recover fully. I mean basketball players get it done all the time no? I just usually ice mine daily to keep the pain away and stay in the gym to keep it stable.

    I'm 20 btw

Yea, the main reason was I didn't have insurance, and I have a phobia of hospitals and Dr's. I don't want to be cut on, I know it sounds ridiculous but It's always been that way for me. When the doctor came back with the results, I still remember my exact words.. "no, f--- you..get me out of here" Never had surgery before, and never want it done.. hope I never have to if I can help it.

I used to ice mine down, but the pain would come back within a few hours, I tried taking pain meds for a few years, but I don't like taking pills of any kind. I'm pretty sure Athletes get them done, because it reassures them..that everything is fixed the way it should, and probably have to more than anything. I wear a knee brace if I walk somewhere, or if it hurts constantly; I still play football every now and then..but I only play QB.. I don't get physical too much, knee would give out if I did.

At the end of the day, I'd choose whatever works best for you..and find out what your options are; if you feel it'll make you stronger and you can get it fixed better that way.. I say go for it; it's all up to u bro.
