    If anybody still doubts that it's really bad, just check out what's happening in Italia. Young people can get infected with brutal forms of the disease too. This is our near future over there.
    All schools, bars, restaurants, non-essential shops finally got closed in France, but it's a little too late apparently, the second wave is gonna hurt

    Also pretty much all the common types of meat were gone (chicken breast, ground beef, pork chops, etc). The only eggs left were some close to expiring expensive organic ones and probably like 30 of the cheapest Walmart brand kind, which sounds like a decent amount but that’s legit like 5% of the egg section lol

    I'm not saying the disease itself isn't blown of proportion, it is a little I agree.

    Just that it has huge consequences that people underestimate. Look at Italy, Austria, Holland.. US not letting in Europeans, economy problems, etc.

    There's no cure for the regular Flu either. Yes there is a Flu vaccine, but that's only for certain strains. People who get that are still susceptible to getting another strain

    well if obesity is a factor then a lot of people here are f-----. Diet Coke sales at McDonalds are about to plummet.

    I still think it's blown out of proportion to a degree. There are two people within 5 miles from me and they're both chilling at home on self quarantine and fine

    also enough of that "only old people die" myth. Obesity is just as large of a risk factor as old age and I'm willing to bet most of you are obese. there's not a lot of obese people in china so there wasn't a way to determine it but new studies are showing that as much as a 7% increase in mortality rate can be attributed to obesity.

    plus asthma, cardiovascular illness and other pre-existing conditions will k--- young people too.

    Stop being selfish, stay home if you can, wash your hands, sanitize, and avoid close contact with other people

    Best case scenario: containment slowly starts to decrease the rate at which the virus is spreading while markets begin to feel more optimistic.

    Worst case scenario: The spread of the virus leads to a global recession with containment coming too late to effectively slow down the rate the virus is spreading.

    I feel like we’re probably closer to the later right now. Hope I’m wrong.
