sickening that this could have been stopped had the Chinese doctors on Dec 30th who alerted the medical community in China about the virus but was shut down by Wuhan officials.

If things were closed off then it would have contained & eliminated most likely.
Letting people in for Chinses New Year should be classed as a criminal act by the people who let that happen.

All that said the response by Goverments around Europe & in the US has been a disgrace. So slow to act.

iI think it's good tbh. China really needs to do something about their wet markets because they never do. They could've easily taken measures on these things the last few times it happened. Nothing wrong with shining the spotlight on china that the reason we're even dealing with this is because it's like the third time or something now that they still haven't done anything about it. How many times does it have to happen? Just fix the f---ing problem it's not hard to enforce rules and restrictions on these wet markets especially for the chinese government who have no trouble with enforcement for everything else

The virus does come from china and their wet food markets. The reason it sounds racist to say "chinese virus" is because the obvious negative chinese stereotypes spring to mind, but this is literally something China can fix but never do. It's not out of their control. It's simply neglect

China fixing these issues will do much more to stop anti chinese sentiments than western politicians walking on eggshells when addressing the media so it doesn't sound like they're blaming china for eating weird s---

Oh yeah and Trump at some rally during hurricane season last year, he was asked about dealing with the hurricanes. He said “we’re going to nuke them!!!” That was really worrisome tbh. Having Nuclear Waste all through the ocean would be a great way to k--- off life. You can tell he doesn’t know any basic science. I’m no f---ing scientist, but it’s sad seeing some people keep cheering and chanting after he yells “we’re going to nuke the big hurricanes” Sometimes when I was really bored, I’d half defend him just to argue. Because I enjoy debating.

Of course it's f----- up and I 100 % understand it, but my boss have almost 30 stores. He's rich, he can pay. His monthly revenues just from the store I work in are huge, like really huge. 3 day revenue is more than he pays me and my 2 colleagues monthly (minus bonus and over time). I know he needs to buy stuff to sell, pay rent for each local, bills etc. etc. but even if he pays for all of that he still has a lot of money left for him.

My health is more important than my boss' business so I just bounced for a while.

Got enough food for a couple weeks just in case, this is insane..hope everyone's good. I saw there were a shitload of people at disney world(or land? idk) last night still, hate those who aren't following the advice right now, it's selfish not to. people gotta stop traveling too.
