Mar 7, 2020 Do I need a medical background to know that viruses can k---? I don't disagree with the safety precautions we need to take, what I disagree with and get pissed off with is the media enslaught of turning this into a pandemic. We all get the flu pretty much every year, this is just going to be a little worse. On the plus side, at least women will finally know what man-flu really feels like!
Mar 8, 2020 Interesting. The only reports I'm hearing are from Canary Wharf. Pretty much the entire of the workforce areas (Bank etc) have cancelled all after-work activities. The hospitality industry is taking a big hit in London right now.
Mar 8, 2020 welp... coronavirus coming soon to where I live in oct/nov. I can't believe that with the state of science the way it is today, we're probably not going to get a cure by then. well, I'm pretty sure most of us had a decent life. hoping something miraculous regarding covid-19 research happens soon, if not; I'll let you know if I catch it.
Mar 8, 2020 I low key think I have it rn I have every symptom but chest pain. Feels just like a cold tho
Mar 9, 2020 d--- 3rd strain of corona just got confirmed. Not respiratory or airborn like the last, it's e-born and you can catch it online. I suggest you all log out immediately!
Mar 9, 2020 President Donald Trump and Senator Ted Cruz have been in contact with an individual at CPAC who tested positive with coronavirus. Cruz is self quarantining for the time being, will not be tested rn as he is asymptomatic
Mar 9, 2020 very dumb post. The virus is only around 3 months. nearly 400 dead in 2 weeks in Italy. We go around with your attitude they'll be 100,000's killed in a year. They dont just shut down everything in China & now Italy if this was a minor flu.
Mar 9, 2020 Italy has one of the oldest population in the world and China kills your kids if you have too many. Not really a compelling argument
Mar 9, 2020 It’s not a ‘dumb’ post—that’s on you for the way you interpreted it. Human’s innately aren’t very good at accurately assessing risk, hence statistics of things more familiar to us allow us to better understand Of course the media tend to blow things out of proportion, but there’s obviously some sort of risk here, particularly if x number of people get infected. Hospital’s resources will begin to diminish at an exponential rate and that is the real risk, hence the precaution by Italy. Especially if no vaccine is found, which I doubt will be any time soon. They are (understandably) taking no chances. The potential of an extremely widespread outbreak is currently low, but if not contained properly & it becomes out of control, the consequences could be disastrous on a large scale. Even if people weren’t dying—having to self-isolate to reduce spread would ruin the economy.
Mar 9, 2020 its dumb because scuba diving has no relevance to a virus. It is the worst virus since the Spanish flu. Shouldnt get that bad but it could if people dont take action to stop it spreading. Personally not worried about my own health just dont want to spread it to vulnerable people
