Apr 24, 2020 . We have a 4 level system. Currently in level 4 (full lockdown), going into level 3 next week for atleast 2 weeks, where more businesses can open and people have a bit more freedom. We still have to avoid making contact with anyone not in our "bubbles". In level 3 we can go surfing atleast.
Apr 24, 2020 I’m praying that the German government give the green light for the Bundesliga to start in a few weeks, gonna be a while until the Prem is back on
Apr 24, 2020 just bought some hydroxychloroquine just incase I come close to an asian and catch the virus
Apr 24, 2020 Because if she interrupted him there, she’d be out the door. Then who knows who would be advising the president on this matter. Probably Sean Hannity or someone f---ing ridiculous.
Apr 25, 2020 Sean Hannity would be an excellent advisor. He has the number 1 show on TV for a reason.
Apr 25, 2020 Word We never had a lockdown really. Bars, barbershops etc were closed and we had to work from home if possible but we could still go outside, shops were open etc. But the way the government communicated it and the way citizens listened to the government was amazing and we can see new deaths and infections are getting lower by the day. Too bad americans are so stupid to ignore the rules and gonna protest against a lockdown lmao. But then again the biggest issue is the clown running the states.
Apr 25, 2020 You guys are one of the most remote major islands in the world and are still taking more precautions than a state in the continental USA with twice the population as your country and the busiest airport in the USA. Between this and your response to gun violence I'm jealous of your government (that I admittedly know nothing else about) lol
Apr 25, 2020 I think how we deal with this in sweden is a really ballsy move but it seems to be not such a bad descision, each individual takes their own responsibility to self quarantine themself and no shutdowns, the bad thing however is the citizens of Stockholm doesnt follow it, as soon as they heard that the numbers are dropping everyone went outside to cafes, stores, parks etc so now their is goin to be a televised message to them that they have to f---ing behave lmao, basically a grown up gonna tell irresponsible kids to stay at home. i hope it f---ing works
Apr 25, 2020 Whats interesting is that we have about the same population size as Ireland and before we went into full lockdown our number of casses were matching their numbers almost exactly. Now one month later they have 18,000 cases and 1000 deaths compared to our 1,100 cases and 18 deaths. That's actual crazy and shows how effective a full lock down is. A crisis like this really exposes who is and who is not fit to run a country. I feel so bad for the USA and how incompetent Trump is. f---s me how you can be so stupid. Have been very impressed with our prime minister. She has definitely made us feel like we are all in this together. Every now and then she even goes live on Facebook from her home to check on the nation and answer questions about covid-19 before she goes to bed (after putting her toddler to bed). Really makes you feel like we are being looked after.
Apr 25, 2020 Nothing makes me feel safer than Daddy Donald going on adderall rants about ms. universe at 4AM on a wednesday
Apr 25, 2020 I don't know anything really about New Zealand but where I live in the US was one of the first states to go into lockdown. The president really doesn't have much say in that, governors of states can already open up if they want and some idiots have. But I also live in the most densely populated state in the country and it's a small state, smaller than your country but a population double the size of yours. That's the main reason we have the 2nd most cases in the country. I would also want to see the differences between your country and Ireland. Irelands main population is around dublin so it makes sense that it would spread quick as well. I'm guessing NZ population is more spread out?
Apr 25, 2020 Our largest city, Auckland, has a larger population than Dublin (1.6 million). They only got about 160 cases there aswell, which is less tha expected if you look at it on or capital basis. The difference is NZ went into lockdown before their was widespread community transmission. 99% of our cases can be linked to overseas travel. I guess we have the advantage of being separated into two islands but we were also at risk because New Zealanders travel alot. We had something like 70,000 people overseas, and these people coming home are where most of the cases come from.
Apr 25, 2020 Even under a state of emergency, can the US president not force the entiee country into a lockdown?
Apr 25, 2020 no that's illegal here luckily that moron can only ask the states to do things. Hows the climate there? I'm imagining hot and humid?
