Also the 2 party system is so stupid. We have like dozens of parties and in the end they have to work together to make one government based on the votes. Is it perfect? No. But at least its not just 50% of the people being represented... @Donkey Kong Cuntry

after a while it will be survival of the fittest of the Virus cannot be eradicated or a good treatment found.
Just go to work & do nothing else for the next year most likely or even longer

Some people will need to go back to work within the next 2 months to out food on the table

Yeah but there are consequences to jumping the gun on accusations like that. China deserves criticism/punishment obviously but pushing unconfirmed theories that the Chinese government actually manufactured the virus in a lab could lead to higher rates of discrimination (which we’ve already seen an uptick of) or could influence government policy (WMDs!!!). In fact, it’s being reported today that the Trump administration was pushing the intelligence community to find evidence that the virus was created in a Chinese lab. Very Iraq War/Bush-esque:

Thank you for this. Really excellent read and very informative. Its fascinating to read about the history of the coronavirus research. I didn’t realize serious research on this virus goes as far back as 2003 (I think that’s what the article said). This isn’t the first coronavirus to infect humans and it most likely won’t be the last.

If anyone hasn’t read this yet, I highly suggest you check it out.

Not even 50% tbh. Way more democrats than republicans but the republicans use a lot of tactics (election fraud, gerrymandering, making it harder to vote) to bridge the gap and get elected

Every time I drive through Holland I say to the Mrs "we should live here one day". I absolutely love it. But I'm British so it's biologically impossible for me to speak a second language.

Oh yea for sure, I knew that. That’s my bad for not making it clear. I was referring to the more deadly types like SARS, MERS, and COVID-19 that seem to be coming from various bat colonies in tropical and subtropical tropical regions.

I think by July they'll have flights. Countries like those rely on tourism

True but I'm not sure if countries like ours will allow flights to countries far away but I agree at one point they can't keep s--- closed

I just payed to get an antibody test. Going on Tuesday. I'm tired of washing my hands every time I get back to my place, touch my mail, wiping down every single grocery with a clorox wipe

if you already had it you have the antibodies and are able to fight it if you get exposed to it again, they just don't know how long that lasts for. Could be like measles and your body remembers forever and you never get it again, could be like 6 months...I'll take 6 months of not being OCD. Hopefully I've already been exposed.

I think things will ease up as we learn how to "manage" the outbreak. But there won't be a "normal" until there's a vaccine.
But let's face it, there will be a vaccine at some point in the future. Could be in a week, or a year. Obviously sooner the better but I have confidence we won't be in full lockdown for much longer.

no it could absolutely not be in a week, lol. Vaccines take well over 6 months to get to the public if the trials go PERFECT. more likely looking at 12-18 months for a vaccine.

Yeah I wouldn’t bet on a widely available vaccine until early next year.

    BIGFOOT More than a myth!

I'm just worried about the possibility of a second wave hitting before a vaccine is produced and made widely available for public use. We need to be able to get back into work without worrying too much, as well as living a normal d--- life.
