    I was going through my hard drive and stumbled upon Slaughterhouse's "Truth or Truth" track. They went personal over Rick Ross' "Tears Of Joy" beat. I think that's the best instrumental for my final rap song.

    Bruh look at Danny, Freddie etc they both blew up after they were 30. People always mention Em and Jay being 26 too, age is the least of your problems.

    nope. been recording since 2011 and freestyling since god knows how long. writing lyrics is second nature.

    i never prewrite verses though. I pick a beat and write to it, line for line. rapping out loud and always start back at the beginning of the verse when the next line is done.

    example:
    line 1 > line 2 > line 1> line 2 > line 3> line 1> line 2> line 3> line 4 etc etc

    by the time my 16 bars are written the verse is memorized through repetition.

    d--- since 2005? I was turning 6 that year lol. What made you really want to start?

    For me when I heard Doris by Earl Sweatshirt that s--- really changed my life, just the way he weaved words together and told stories was incredible. I had always been into music but thats when I knew I wanted to really do it. Before that I was (somewhat still am) into filmmaking, specifically screenwriting. So I'm sure you can imagine how much GKMC changed my entire approach too

    @CreativeSXN do you guys have any tips for mixing vocals (specifically an already recorded speech) into an already mastered instrumental? If that makes sense...it sounds decent just placed over the instrumental but I know it could be better lol

    @CreativeSXN I've been wanting to get back into f---ing around with music/audio editing for fun. Does anyone have any recs for an affordable midi keyboard that doesn't s--- complete s---? I don't need anything fancy just something reliable I can f--- around with and there's so many options it's hard to know where to start. Thanks!

    Real s--- but I don't fall in to that, different songs of mine have different feels etc so what might be the best verse I've written isn't going to tell the best story the way I want it to etc. Also I tried to see but do you have any projects out? besides the SXN80 tapes I couldn't find any
