Jan 2, 2018 Nice write up, but also add that hardware wallets are the best way to secure your coins, completely offline and currently the most safe for people with large amount of coins. Also research if the exchange you're buying from allows you to sell into your fiat currency. Before buying any coins do as much research on it as possible. don't know if you mentioned this in part 1 but regardless... hodler since past june.
Jan 3, 2018 i received my nano s a week or so ago and have been reading more into it these past few days before setting it up. not gonna lie -- i'm a little terrified of transferring my coins off of the exchange and onto this magical device... there's a lot of blind trust there that i'm trying to un-blind by learning more about how it functions.

Jan 4, 2018 Great thread @Slyk. I been mining bitcoin for a week now, figured that was the best way to get in for me: if I can eventually accumulate one bitcoin, then it is as an option to buy in at bitcoin at 5k (cost of the hardware). In addition, I continue to get rewarded with BTC in perpetuity (well, I guess just until the hardware no longer functions/is serviceable). I'm then trading using my BTC earnings. I don't intend to convert back to CAD until at least 6 months (at which point I'll recover my investment cost, and leave the rest to grow for 2-3 years). Hope to have 100k in holdings (via trading and mining) in 3 years.
Jan 4, 2018 You'll still have that amount in crypto, that ether will just enjoy the scale of ripple while it's held as ripple. It comes down to which you think will scale better. But, if you're down to go out of pocket for ripple, you can also purchase litecoin at an exchange and convert that to ripple.

Jan 9, 2018 @Slyk I've got into Binance but my God, it all seems very confusing right now! Do you have any simple tips to use it? At this stage i just simply want to invest half of my bitcoins that I have in my coinbase wallet to buy Ripple. Thats it. Any suggestions?
Jan 9, 2018 They are accepting a "limited number of new users daily". I tried 5 or 6 times for the last few days but no luck. Tried at 6am this morning and it let me in. Guess you've just got to either be lucky or be one of the first people when their day begins.

Jan 9, 2018 Thanks for getting back to me man. I figured it out in the end (its not simple without reading/watching instructions). I'm now the proud owner of both Ripple and Tron as we as the standard BTC, ETH and LTC. Your threads have been an absolute godsend! Fingers crossed we all get rich off this. If i stay flat or a tiny bit of profit i will no doubt put an extra £200-£500 in per month on this.

Jan 14, 2018 Bitcoin is only other way to remove money soberany from the normal people. I like you guys but i hope it never sucesss the way it is working now. It's like the new lex mercatoria or TTIP.Bitcoin at the end gonna f--- more people than help. I hope i'm wrong but bitcoin doesn't give me good vibes.
